Why is it that you post a list of servers not accepting new toons if your list does not contain all the serves not accepting? I get all excited bc Ultros isnt on the list yet when i go to make my new toon NONE OF THE NA EU SERVERS ARE ACCEPTING!! Square i am so very close to selling my CE, its been 4 or 5 days of not being able to play!

They are adding more servers, but it takes time as they are not simply turning on systems that were already in place, they are install new systems, that will have to be built and tested, integrated into the data center network, and then brought up with the FFXIV world running. Finally they have to integrate the new world into the existing server infrastructure. As much as some people think this is as easy as flipping a switch, it's not. You can quickly provision a basic Linux, Unix, or windows server with nothing more than the OS running with basic networking services. However SE has to do far more since they have to install the game server software on the new physical server, it must be correctly configured along with reconfiguring the login and instance servers and so on to integrate the new world into the FFXIV system. It takes time to do all of that for each new world server being added, and that doesn't cover the other expansion they are working on to handle the very high demand for concurrent logins.

If you bought the Collector's edition, surely you like the game well enough to give them time to do this work?

Buying the CE does not imply already having a positive experience with the game. Some people just like to buy collector stuff. And... I can see the advantages of "giving them time", but really, they've had quite a lot of time to work on this now, and it wasn't until yesterday that they even admitted that maybe they needed to do something about it, despite huge amounts of feedback in Beta 4 that made it obvious there was a problem.

Quite a lot of time? Beta 4 started less than 2 weeks ago today, and ended 9 days ago. Early Access started just 5 days ago. Beta 4 showed that they had some problems with the load on the servers and dealing with that load, and they have been working to fix that. But when Early Access kicked off 5 days ago the level of demand spiked higher than Beta 4. Leaving them no choice but to find a way to stabilize things for now so that they can expand to handle the additional users.

Five (5) days is not enough time to analyze the situation, make decisions and change data center infrastructure. In fairness you have to remember that they added at least 5 new worlds during Beta 4 and Early Access to NA/EU, representing a 25% increase in total capacity. Seriously, there have been only 12 days between Beta 4 and now. They're moving as fast as they can, and a good deal faster than most organizations can.

The game launched yesterday and due to the high demand (which is a good thing I guess) the servers are at maximum capacity, so now they are suspending digital sales and adding more physical servers to the data center and getting it done in under a week. That's actually not bad for acquiring new hardware, doing the OS build, network integration, application/server build, and integration.

Come on unlock an EU server i dont care which, been refreshing every 3 minutes for 2 hours and the only servers to show up in that time is NA's.
Its late night in EU surely they cant all still be "Full"
