PS3 Keyboard, hotbar & skills!

So I know this has been asked a lot, but no where have I seen an answer or solution.

During the phase 3 beta I was using mouse and keyboard flawlessly for everything, just as if I was playing on PC! You honestly wouldn't of known the difference except for the pissy resolution and hotbar appearance.

So in the past I was able to press the numbers on my keyboard to execute skills, but for some reason it no longer works and there's no in game setting to fix it. I'm honestly baffled to the logic in changing something that worked well before! Everything else on keyboard works, I'm just having to actually click my skills instead of being able to press the corresponding number!

If anyone figures out a fix, or anything that maybe helpful please let me know. I know I'm not the only one this is annoying, I just hope there's enough of us for Square Enix to do something about it.

I was hoping to use the numbers on the keyboard too so would love to know what happened here.

It just doesn't make sense that they used to work, but now they doesn't...

I don't know what happen but it sucks, this will stop me from continuing my support for this game. I am not a controller player.
