It also says on any 1.0 players characters pages "Sixth Astrall Era" at the top. Meaning that's the era they come from. ARR takes place in the 7th Astrall Era.

That's in Durandal, a legacy server. That means that characters from 1.0 who could very well have had 50 in every single class in the game exist there. Notice how Arcanist, the sole new class in the game
