Final Fantasy XIV Digital Sales Temporarily Halted

I saw this article and I thought i should post it here. Seems like no more digital purchases for now

In a Facebook Post the company announced that the "overwhelmingly positive response" means "we are currently experiencing extremely long wait times for users to be able to log in and play.

"As a temporary measure," it continues, "we will halt sales of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s digital download products so we can accommodate all of those wishing to play. We are working to expand our server capacity in the coming days."

Sad to say, but me as well! Although, I'm quite glad that Square Enix has had such a overwhelming response to this game.

Yes, I saw that post on face book too. I just wish someone could say, hey we have a problem here and we are working on it. They don't even need to give an ETA, just aware of this problem would be great.

This is a stupid and pointless PR move and accomplishes nothing as you can still buy DDL copies from several retailers.

The maintenance this morning did nothing to help this issue. In fact I'm not sure if they even know about this.
