    A Problem with PS2 controller

    Hello!

I'm trying to use PS2 controller in this game while playing with PC. I have the controller attached to my PC with an adapter designed for this purpose.

The problem that I'm having is that my camera is pulling down all the time. If I don't touch anything on my controller, eventually the camera angle is in my characters feet looking up. I've tried to use the controller for a while to see if the problem goes away but it still keeps pulling the camera down. I've tried to re-calibrate the controller in Windows (Control Panel) as well as ingame several times but the problem stays. I tried to change the whole controller to another PS2 controller that I have but still nothing. I've plugged the controller in and out, tried different USB ports and all but no success.

So, I was wondering that if some of you guys use PS2 controller while playing with PC and if you have had a similar problem, how did you deal with it?

had the same problem with my PS3 pad. try lowering the stick sensivity in the settings maybe it helps, but I had to change the deadzone in motionjoy

I used to have that problem in FFXI when I used a PS2 controller. What I did was rotate each analog stick around in a circle a few times after logging in or while calibrating (even after calibrating I still had to do it in game sometimes). That always seemed to help it find the boundaries and re-center it.

Motionjoy doesn't recognize my controller at all so I can't get into the deeper settings. I've been trying to spint the contorllers sticks around ingame and recalibrate it over and over again but nothing. Maybe the deadzone that you mentioned could be the solution but I just can't get to the settings.

No idea, haven't used the ps2 controller, I personally use the dualshock 3 with motioninjoy drivers and have no problems with the game.

Buy a controller with Xinput compatibility. Problem solved.

Like the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (available wired/wireless), or Razor's Sabertooth Controller.

Don't particularly like that form factor?

    There's also Logitech's F310 and F710 gamepad.

You're bound to end up with some compatibility issues sooner or later with those old PS2 adapters / motioninjoy spyware drivers.

sounds like its having trouble recognizing your anolog stick's idle position. Make sure you have the adequate drivers installed. not the window's plug and play drivers that pop up when you first plug it in. and also make sure your controller is on a flat level surface when you plug it in.

People still use that piece of adware crap? Not to mention it's for PS3 controllers exclusively, so you can't really use it with a ps2 pad. You should be able to calibrate your pad including the deadzones if you go to devices & printers -> your gamepad -> calibrate. I had a ps2 adapter before I moved to a PS3 pad (with these drivers) and calibrating it solved the stick problem.

You're having problems with a thirteen year old control pad on a newly released pc game? Is this correct?
