sorry get off you godly high horse that makes you feel so high and moghty that just because a person has more time on a game that they should have content for them only.

    that was ffxi content
i was infact not able to do that content because not enough people had acess to it at all. I missed out on possible fun. And that peeves me off.
I can play a game for 20 hrs if i choose and I don;t feel i need content tairlored for me.

I never want to get left out because of some artifical restriction on a
    GAME....

I don't think you'll get far asking for ideas. Someone is going to list an idea and then people who are more casual will swarm in bashing the idea and then people who are more hardcore will swarm in bashing the people doing the original bashing because hardcore is more important than casual. lol, make sense? A call to senses never works. Ever.

They just have to decide what kind of player base they want. The ones that can only play 30 minutes per day, the ones that play 2 hours per day, the ones that play 6+ hours per day, or a mixture of all three.

Due to time constraints I'm able to play around 2 hours per day, but on weekends I can play for extended periods of time. I'd like content where I can do stuff in a 2 hour period and pick up where I left off the next day, but at the same time have somethings where I can really put effort into on the weekends.

I'm sure SE will figure it out so that we can get a mixture of both demands. I'm even more sure that they are aware of what the players want. They do read these threads...

sorry but he is like a few select players who feel that just because they play longer they should get content for them only.

People keep saying make content for both group... that is the problem it is impossible.

The hardcore want gear they work for things that give them a feeling of accomplishment things that will set them apart from the normal players, casual want the gear fast because long spawn times and low drop rates are not fun, they want to be able to do everything in the game on a casual's playtime.

What the 2 groups want are on opposite ends of the spectrum... Casual players hate hardcore content, while hardcore's crave what the casuals hate.

Square only has 2 Option. Make content for both groups and make the hardcores happy but piss off the casual who feel ripped off even with content made for them. Or make only casual content so everyone can do everything and outrage the hardcore fanbase.

The 2nd option excludes a huge chunk of their fanbase who would stay with them no matter what.

For me casual content is not fun, nothing in WoW is fun, nothing in Abysea in ffxi is fun, Aion was sorta fun but didn't make it in the west due to region lock. The casual scream why can't we hardcore understand, why can you all not understand we just want some content we can enjoy too..... and that mean content you all will not.

As for everyone else thanks for staying on topic, and keep the ideas coming.

    As for some examples:

    1) Content everyone can do: Minor NMs, Behest, Storyline missions, etc
    2) Content tailored for those with more time: Long duration dungeons/raids, high level NMs, Relic/Epic gear/weapons
    3) Content tailored for those with less time: Short duration dungeons/raids, "Open" battles that can be joined by anyone (ala Campaign or the Rifts in Rift), "Dailies" (for lack of a better term)

And nothing is stopping either type of player from doing any of the above... it's just that certain content would be more suited to people with one style or the other.

If someone actually read my NM and item drop idea, it actually benefits both hardcore and casual gamers.

Hardcore: Long NM Spawns / Gear Drops more valuable and usable for wider level range.
Casual: Short NM Spawns / Gear Drops usable for a <10 level range.

Of course what I mean by the hardcore gear is that the gear will have extremely nice stats for that level and may still benefit even at Rank 50.

Look up the definition of the term "tailored to". I never once mentioned the word "only" in any of my posts.

Until it becomes clear that you understand what I was saying in my posts and you get on topic, this will be my last reply to you. If you continue to try to instigate fights and make arguments based on statements and assumptions that aren't there, you will be /ignored permanently.

This right here is what Square needs to do... Make content for everyone not 1 type of player.

Oh, I agree with you. I just was worried about derailing this into yet another "how NMs should work" thread.

I actually like that quite a bit. Kinda what I meant by "minor NMs" and "High level NMs" in my post.
