The issue is casual content is not fun. That is why I am playing a mmo and not an offline game.

what is you deffinition of casual content?
and how do you even know I'm asking for that.
Do you know how silly that sound, how do you even know.
how can you make an assumption like that. This is what I dislike. Silly false assumptions.
And you are also limiting those with free time fron the same content.
there will not be enough players for the "play longer" content. So some people still miss out. How is that fun? We all paid for ffxiv myself included.
We all want a fun game myself included. Take time to think before you post. Think on how sepereated content truely effects the player base as a whole. I seen what happens first hand when content is seperated. And its not fun at all.

The idea of using this thread to discuss how you can balance content to satisfy both "active" gamers and "easygoing" gamers is a good one though.
just because everyone does have acces to content don't mean it is "casual content" Can we just drop the lables and have an adult convo? can we drop the "high and mighty" attitudes you guys are giving off. I'm not trying to sound high and mighty myself. But i don't feel a game should be seperated by time spent. It is not by choice that people can't spend all their free time on an mmo. So why punish them? What makes someone with time feel more worthy to have their own content?
I can play for 20 hours. I don't feel I need content for me. I just want content to do with other players. I play an mmo to have fun with other players. And if we limit what players can do all because of their sceduals than that is not so fun. As there is less people to group with and have fun with.
Quadruple post!!
Most hardcore thing I've ever seen.
I think the most aggravating aspect of these threads is not the flaming, name calling, derailing, insulting nature of them- I'm more bothered by the amount of people who aren't playing the game at all.
I'm glad we've got such a passionate community...I think. But it's becoming increasingly obvious that XIV's community and its player base don't have all that much in common.
I'll welcome any and all content implemented. If something takes a lot of time I'll plan around it. The people that I'm playing FFXIV with are supportive, organized, and fun, and I look forward to scheduling events with them---both short and long in duration.
This. So very much this.Quadruple post!!

Kilta, I'm going to ask you again. Please stop posting here. Until you have actually played the game, you will never have any idea what you are talking about.
I know there is no rule regarding this, but logic dictates that if you do not play the game, you are not fully a member of the game's community.
The vast majority of your posts make no sense, all of them are poorly written, some are downright unintelligible. All you do is talk about how things were done in FFXI or WoW. FFXIV is not either one of those games.
Sorry to be so blunt, but as the thread title says, enough is enough. This meaningless argument needs to stop, and all you're doing is fanning the flames while lighting some of your own.

I would recommend just putting her on your ignore list like I did, but given how often she's by quoted by people beating down her arguments, it doesn't do much good. T_TThis. So very much this.

That being said, I wholeheartedly agree with Pangy. The cesspool that I see in these forums is nothing at all like what I encounter in-game, thankfully.
