sorry get off you godly high horse that makes you feel so high and moghty that just because a person has more time on a game that they should have content for them only.

    that was ffxi content
i was infact not able to do that content because not enough people had acess to it at all. I missed out on possible fun. And that peeves me off.
I can play a game for 20 hrs if i choose and I don;t feel i need content tairlored for me.

I never want to get left out because of some artifical restriction on a
    GAME....

I don't think you'll get far asking for ideas. Someone is going to list an idea and then people who are more casual will swarm in bashing the idea and then people who are more hardcore will swarm in bashing the people doing the original bashing because hardcore is more important than casual. lol, make sense? A call to senses never works. Ever.

They just have to decide what kind of player base they want. The ones that can only play 30 minutes per day, the ones that play 2 hours per day, the ones that play 6+ hours per day, or a mixture of all three.

Due to time constraints I'm able to play around 2 hours per day, but on weekends I can play for extended periods of time. I'd like content where I can do stuff in a 2 hour period and pick up where I left off the next day, but at the same time have somethings where I can really put effort into on the weekends.

I'm sure SE will figure it out so that we can get a mixture of both demands. I'm even more sure that they are aware of what the players want. They do read these threads...

Yeah, I guess I was just hoping people were tired of flaming each other and would be able to begin to realize that what's best for this game is somewhere in the middle of both extremes. SE could never make everyone happy, that is why we must compromise.

I know the mods read the forums, but how likely are they to find any actual ideas when all we have are 50+ page threads of people flaming each other with maybe one or two posts that are actually worth reading.

I've been supportive of the this for a long time... but the problem is there are a lot more vocal people on the two extremes than in the middle. I still think this is a good thread and hope it won't degenerate.

I And english is my first language i'm just tyoing a mile a min and make mistakes. But i understand perfectly. Who guys are not. And the reason why your not is based on false assumptions.

You guys also are to into hating "that game" and feel the only have to have content for all is to make it "easy". And that isn't the case. And for the record. Longer dungeons are not harder dungeons. You can have hard dungeons with time limits and have gear be earned slowly. But there is no reason one person should have acess to 100% of the game where another has only 90% acess.

Why do you think ffxi wasn't THAT popular? Because of the content you guys want. I want ffxiv to be popular so there is no issues in finding players to do content. That should be hard to ask not insulted at.

People keep saying make content for both group... that is the problem it is impossible.

The hardcore want gear they work for things that give them a feeling of accomplishment things that will set them apart from the normal players, casual want the gear fast because long spawn times and low drop rates are not fun, they want to be able to do everything in the game on a casual's playtime.

What the 2 groups want are on opposite ends of the spectrum... Casual players hate hardcore content, while hardcore's crave what the casuals hate.

Square only has 2 Option. Make content for both groups and make the hardcores happy but piss off the casual who feel ripped off even with content made for them. Or make only casual content so everyone can do everything and outrage the hardcore fanbase.

The 2nd option excludes a huge chunk of their fanbase who would stay with them no matter what.

For me casual content is not fun, nothing in WoW is fun, nothing in Abysea in ffxi is fun, Aion was sorta fun but didn't make it in the west due to region lock. The casual scream why can't we hardcore understand, why can you all not understand we just want some content we can enjoy too..... and that mean content you all will not.

If someone actually read my NM and item drop idea, it actually benefits both hardcore and casual gamers.

Hardcore: Long NM Spawns / Gear Drops more valuable and usable for wider level range.
Casual: Short NM Spawns / Gear Drops usable for a <10 level range.

Of course what I mean by the hardcore gear is that the gear will have extremely nice stats for that level and may still benefit even at Rank 50.

Oh, I agree with you. I just was worried about derailing this into yet another "how NMs should work" thread.

I actually like that quite a bit. Kinda what I meant by "minor NMs" and "High level NMs" in my post.

i'm not asking for content for any one player you guys are
youi want seperate content that is asking for personal content
you don;t need to seperate the content to any 1 group, as long as all content is fun abd worth doing everyone should get acess to it
ffxi did the seperate limiting thing, and that game isn;t doing so well.
I don't want ffxiv to end up like ffxi. I couldn't even do the "hardcore" content due to so few people who could access it.

Sorry but we shouldn't segragate players based on time. Thats stupid. Its a game guys, not life, not work. Its only meant to be a fun activity. Its not fun playing a game for 12+ hours and doing nothing because not enough players to do much.

That is what will happen with content separation. Why can't guys understand that you have false assupmtions on casuals. And are chastising them for no reason. I was a casual player once and I wanted to do everything in the game. I couldn't and spent money to get more time. And even still i couldn't do much of anything.
