I know other people are having the same problems right now. But I have some questions. Do I need the real game instead of the early access launcher now, and do I need to pay to play now? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No, the launcher is the same. When you log in today, it'll ask for the separated product code however so look for that in your email from the retailer you chose. You don't need to pay yet. Since you're a new player, we have 30 days free.
now that EA is over
you need an official key
the same client will work it IS the full game
ps3 is 12 digit PSN code
when you buy it you are just really just buying an official game key code for playing
I probably should have been more detailedI'm on the PS3 and in the Mogstation it says that my profile is currently registered to the early access and it says it is innactive. I see a button to add a playstion account and I check to see what that is it says to add the registration code through the sony entertainment network. Do I put the code on the PSN store?
(edit)Thanks for the responses by the way. So I need to get the ffxiv playstion 3 box and inside it would be a code for the PSN? Then I just input it there then the game should work?

Under account management for PSN on your main screen, enter it under redeem code
