Am I reading this correctly? Does this mean the companion mount will no longer work with Mount Roulette? And that to even ride it I would first need to use a Green, summon him, then mount him?
I think Camate mean "While your companion is summoned, the only mount that you can call is company chocobo (your companion)."
Meaning if you summon your GC chocobo with a gyshal green, while that is in effect you won't be allowed to call your Unicorn mount to ride. But you will be able to call your same GC chocobo as a mount. If you would want to ride a different mount you would have to use withdraw first. Also, if your GC chocobo is not currently summoned as a companion you'd be able to ride it as a mount as usual.
It's worded a bit confusing, it took me a second look to understand. They probably made it this way for immersion. Most people wouldn't walk their horse by the reigns then jump on a bicycle and ride off leaving the horse to it's own whits to catch up to you later. So it makes sense from a RP standpoint.
That would be a seriously eyeroll-inducing reason. A a roleplayer, I value freedom and streamlined gameplay more than immersion for most game mechanic stuff. I'll never understand why people think "immersion" is such a fragile thing.
That whole realism excuse is lame. Yes cause firing fireballs from your hands is realistic, fighting a bunny with a Great Axe or Riding an eyeball with wings list goes on. Yes it is a RP game but it is also a FANTASY game.Meaning if you summon your GC chocobo with a gyshal green, while that is in effect you won't be allowed to call your Unicorn mount to ride. Does this mean that every ime I want to ride my chocobo I now have to use up a Gysahl Green? Not really happy with this change it that's true.Greetings,
As a follow-up to the previous announcement regarding companion adjustments, we wanted to let you know that you will only be able to call your company chocobo mount with your companion summoned. Also, the time in which you are riding on your company chocobo will not count towards the duration in which you can have your companion out. Once you dismount and your companion re-appears, the timer will resume.
If you go back and open the previous thread you'll find that he said that these changes will be implemented in 2.2, however, the ability to have your chocobo summoned and queue for the duty finder will not be implemented until after 2.3. If that's the case, then they should just wait until they have it all ready and implement it at the same time.
