    "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working."

    Playing in early access, enjoying myself, and my game goes not responding. This has also happened during login, not only in-game.
    I am NOT talking about "the world server is full" or the game booting me cause of maintenance, I'm okay with that, It's going to happen. But for the game to stop working isn't.
    I've waited until release day just in case, still the same problem, and this hadn't happened to me in the beta.
    I've lowered my graphics from maximum to high desktop, high laptop, etc., to a custom setting lower than standard laptop.
    I also updated my drivers a few different times, upgrading AND downgrading. Just in case it was a driver error, although nothing came up saying it was a driver crash, i did it anyway.
    I've cooled the laptop with an A/C unit blowing 60F, and now I'm assuming it's a memory leakage.
    I played Starcraft II on Ultra, League of Legends on High, and several other games for several hours to see if any other game had this problem, but it was just Final Fantasy that kept not responding.

    You're best bet would just to expect ntohing different for a few days because FF14:ARR has been having problems since EA obviously. In a few days this stuff should hopefully be fixed or at least addressed.

    But wouldn't you think it's my end, with the game not responding like this? Or do you think that Sqenix would probably update their game to be more compatible?

    Check your error logs. I checked mine, and the code read nvd3dum.dll

    When I went to check to see if I had any drivers that I needed downloaded it said I was good to go. But the recommended steps are to delete all previous driver downloads, download the most recent and try from there. I am not sure if this will work but I am all out of options.

    After doing everything I fixed the problem you are having. The early access client I downloaded and played starting giving me ...has stopped working... window every time I loading into the game. I received an email with a link to download the client for preordering but disregarded cause I already had the client downloaded from early access. Seeing how I tried everything..my last attempt was to uninstall and reinstall using the NEW email link for the client. Now no more problems with ... has stopped working. Played my first full day without problem.

    Short story, if you are getting Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working, uninstall and reinstall. Worked for me. Hope this helps!
