Apparently in the light it's a bright grey blue now, but in the dark, the darker it gets it goes from a gunmetal silver to a chromatic gold color???? Teh fux? It this right?
Sounds like you are having a possible driver issue or maybe a corrupted file.
I just came from a beta 320.6something driver on my GTX 770, im on the whql 320.49 now. It did it on both.
This has been happening since I got the armor. It's been changing colors the whole time based on the lighting in an area.
In a sunny area, it's a very light grey-ish blue.
In a normal lit area where there's no direct lighting, it's a gunmetal-ish silver.
In the dark, like dungeon dark, it's chromatic gold (like it should be all the time).
*edit*
I'll try the 326.80 beta drivers and see what happens.

If the problem continues after trying the different drivers you will be best posting in the tech support using the correct format for that section and see if you get a responce to get it fixed.
How I it looked when I first got it
How it looks at night now with the issue happening (this one looks as it should, imo. the bug is the daytime appearance. there's no issues in the dark besides it sometimes looking more silver/gunmetal then gold, but still really cool even like that)
How it looks in day light (the like grey-ish blue)
Is this how it's supposed to be???? It's doing this now across 3 separate graphics drivers for my GTX770 (320.49 (whql), 326.19 (beta), and 326.80 (beta, using it atm).
it's reflective. look at your lighting conditions.
in Coerthas, there was little light at all, and so it showed more of it's base material colouring.
in ul'dah, it looked gold due to the amber light cast from the city's torches.
out in open thanalan, where the skies are bright and blue, it's reflecting a blue sky and taking on a silvery blue hue.
Maybe it's iridescent?
