Afterglow Xbox 360 controller and FFXiV

Good morning. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 controller for my PC to play some single player games with and wanted to try it out in FF to see how the controller worked. The game knows the controller is there and I am able to select it but the game itself (Menu's and character control) will not respond. Anyone else have this issue with the controller or know of any way to fix it?

Also you should of been prompted by the game to do a quick in-game calibration. I don't know off the top of my head how to force that prompt again but I can give you settings to paste in.

Please exit the game before you apply these.

Go to C:\Users\{USER}\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn
Open FFXIV.cfg in a text editor

Under <SoundPlaySettings> (at the next free line below this)

Save, Exit, Restart the Game

If you notice that settings like above are already present and still dosn't work; you should attempt to uinstall the drivers and plug your gamepad into a different usb slot.
