Very Low Sound

So I play with a headset plugged into my computer and during the betas, everything was great. Now my sound is so low I can barely hear it. Of course I've restarted the application and played with all settings.

I have maxed everything in game and out of game on my computer and I can barely hear the sounds in-game. Other applications on my computer play sound fine, such as watching a movie or whatnot. I can hear others in Mumble and such perfect fine. It's just the game.

Anyone have an idea of what happened or had this happen to them?

Using a logitech headset perhaps? I have a G930 and sometimes the audio get's all whacked up and I need to unplug the USB dongle and plug it back in.

Nah it's not a Logitech headset. It's also a 3.5mm plug in and not a USB headset. Plus, sound comes in normally when I use other programs and applications like media player to watch a movie or whatnot. It's strictly FFXIV that is so low it's almost impossible to hear. Not sure what the deal is. Thanks for the reply though!

I will have to check that out. I didn't know each program had its own mixer, or at least I've never noticed it before when I brought up the settings. Gonna feel pretty dumb if that's it, although I will drive myself crazy trying to figure out how I lowered the volume in a setting I didn't know existed haha.
