Screenshots? FF14 appears to use per-vertex specular highlighting (shiny stuff) versus per-pixel so it very well could be intentional.Hello,
Ever since I logged in for the first time, I have been having issues with my textures not coming through correctly. The game looks very nice, however, all of the character models are rendered with a silver-ish reflective film covering them. It is basically making everything look ethereal.
I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this, and if anyone has any suggestions on how I can resolve it. My pc should be able to handle this game fairly well, so I am not sure what the issue is.
I am not at home at the moment, but I can post a screenshot later if it will help.
Here are the stats for my rig:
i7 930 2.8ghz
6gb ram
ATI Radeon HD 5970 crossfired with ATI Radeon HD 5870, both with the latest drivers
Game installed on ssd
Thank you
It looks even worse in the dark

All, I just uninstalled my drivers, cleaned them, rebooted, reinstalled and everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your suggestions. Now I just need the servers to free up. :|
