Institute Temporary AFK Kick Timer

An AFK logout needs to be implemented as quickly as one of the devs can type the code for it. For whatever reason, it was decided that players should be allowed to AFK 24 hours a day. I understand that it's for having a player shop and I'm fine with that but right now this AFK problem is massive and it's killing the launch. People can't play with friends, can't join their guild's server. There are people that have been trying to log on since early access with no luck. A major factor in this debacle are the thousands of zombies hanging out by the aetheryte plazas.

There is no telling how long this fiasco will continue while waiting for servers to be installed, configured, and debugged...but what we do know is that these people will continue to AFK for hours as long as they aren't forced off the servers.

An AFK logout timer need only be a temporary addition to the game...but during this time of horrendous login and character creation restrictions it is definitely necessary.

People will still likely find a way, such as AFKing by going into their Inn rooms and setting up auto-run to keep their character moving without anyone being the wiser.

Though, granted, not everyone will do this so most AFK people will still just be standing around.

It's brought back the bad memories I have from Aion's launch. It had the same issues with AFK "Shops". It got to the point where people put out sign's on their shops apologizing that they were AFK to hold their server slot.

There really is no reason to do it for more than 20/30 minutes. Like if you need a snack or something.

Lol I remember this. It was really bad. If they could do it here they would.

I agree, they need a 30 min auto-kick. It would really ease up on the server congestion. They also should implement a queue timer to log in, which would help prevent the bottlenecking at the login servers.

This is definitely needed, I'm kinda surprised they haven't implemented something like that yet. And I'm pretty sure this was actually already on the game in earlier phases. I distinctly remember getting kicked due to inactivity. If i'm correct, then the code is already there, they just need to switch it on.

Yes...do the blatantly obvious thing to fix the issues plaguing your servers!
