Dear Devs, can you lay this rumor to rest one way or the other, please?

I keep reading posts from other players about the issue with people going afk being one of the reasons others cannot log in. I am not trying to start a whine thread, I am just hoping that a Dev could once and for all respond to this and lay it to rest, because there are so many threads about this and it does seem to be taken as factual, when it may not even impact the issue at all!

Today, I decided to try to get a little game time in before my day started. My server is Goblin (NA). It is 7am, PDT. I would assume that 1) its a weekday and 2) the hour of the morning would make log in pretty easy. However I was still receiving the world is full message.

Does this mean that AFK players are REALLY one of the issues causing the lack of available slots to play? If so, will you be doing something to address this, like the oft suggested inactive timer boot? If not, could you please respond so that this dead horse can be laid to rest?

Being one of those players whom went out for Dinner and came back logged in; I am positive that there is no AFK timeout. If there is one it's ridiculously long as I was away for atleast 2 hours.

I'm actually am guilty of this. I've stayed logged in overnight. at work, out to dinner, etc.

Right now, it's a simple fact that I can't guarantee I'll be able to get back in later when I actually have time to play, so I'll be continuing this process until the matter is resolved.

I'm happy to sit in a queue, but the 1017 errors are just a slap in the face. Like everyone, I'm not going to sit here mindlessly clicking login for endless time. I've already had one friend buy the game and not be able to login on our server. Now he's trying to get a refund and quitting.

So until the 1017 errors are gone, and a reliable queue system is in.... AFK for the win.

I think everyone does this. I mean its pretty much the only way to insure that you'll be able 2 play the next time you want 2.

I have fallen asleep while playing a few times (over 4 to 5 hours) and was never kicked from the game. So there definitely isn't a inactive timer yet. However I do not experience the same problem as many others as of late. Before it was really bad but the last two days, it only takes me 10 to 20 minutes to finally log in. If I was getting blocked out for days at a time...I would go AFK for the win too. I can't blame the people who do. They aren't the root of the problem (is probably is part of the problem) but the server issue with SE is the main culprit. They have announced to adding servers this morning. Hopefully it will be address very soon.

Its no rumor.. its 100% true...

I know quite a few people that do this in order to ensure they get home and have time to play instead of logging in. They log in first thing in the morning before work (mind you they work very early) and then find a cute corner and /sit for the entire day until they get home and play flawlessly for 4 hrs or so before they stop. In which case, they will remain logged as long as there is no maintenance
