    A Question about Multiclassing

    Afternoon All,

So, it's pretty obvious that the intention of the game is that it wants you to multi-class (to the point where it's a requirement for the Jobs). That's not a problem, I like the idea, I also like the idea of the crafting being by class as well.

My question is, when you swap class (by equipping a different weapon) and drop down to level 1 in that class do you then lose any bonuses (extra HP/MP etc) you may have accrued?

Also, what about gear, if your gear is for say, level 15 disciple of war and you've leveled as a Gladiator; you then swap to Lancer but your Lancer level is 1, can you then not wear that gear?

    Thanks in advance.

Think of it almost as logging on to an alt. When you change to level 1 Lancer, you can only wear level 1 gear, but when you switch back to Gladiator, everything will be as it was before. Obviously, there is some cross over with cross class abilities, etc., but that's the basics of it. You will also be able to save your gear sets so that changing classes is nearly instant.

You can swap as often as you want without losing anything at all.

Each class has an individual level. So if you're a level 15 gladiator and switch to level 1 lancer, your gladiator will still be level 15. However, you cannot equip your level 15 gear on your level 1 lancer - the gear restrictions always apply to your current class.

actually i haven't even check to see if i do loose all the INT i stacked as an ACN when i switch to my THM. T.T i should know right...

but no, you can't wear your lvl 15 gear on your lvl 1 LCN. lvl difference. but yes, you can wear your lvl 15 gear when your lancer reaches lvl 15. unless you crossed a mage class, and your stuff is specific for "disciples of war" not "all classes".

Since no one has answered...lemme also state that when you change classes...you have different attribute bonuses.

So if your lvl 15 gladiator invested his points into strength or vitality....and you swamp to conj or THM....he will not get those bonus. When you level up that class...you get to reselect the bonus attributes for that class separately.

There is literally no downside to having more classes. other then running out of inventory space lol swapping classes on the fly also has a global cooldown of all your skills for 30-40 seconds-ish. beyond that...there is no penalty.

Well, you should have enough gear slots on each tab in the armory to handle enough for 1 of each class including crafting gear. You just won't have much room for anything else. The only one that gets a little iffy will be your rings... wish you had more room in your ring box. But if you notice at least for leveling purposes a lot of the gear is usable for more than one class.
