<-- broken 1.0 sig because i'm lazy.
That site is a joke. THey try to put SE as the header bar of the site, then spout o about F2p? Do they not realize F2P games have a generally short life span, while SE ran FFXI for over 10 years?
They clearly are kids lacking funds. F2p models end up having lack luster content not worth logging back into.
"can't figure out F2P"
good because it's a silly concept in the first place.
Free to play is an illusion.
Of course you can try it out free, but it is a product like any other and intended to make money.
People need to get over F2P being some godsend.
Wow that article was horrible.
Well, go have fun with your F2P MMO's.
I just came from SWTOR. Been very slow after 2.0, which they probably had in the works before going F2P.
"You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means."
I personally don't mind. Now, if you play many MMORPG's at once... yeah, I think a F2P option would be nice for you. However, I'm not a very big MMO gamer and I've only played FFXI and EVE. And once I began a new sub model game, I cancel the others. SE had a pretty good reputation for releasing expansions and content updates pretty regularly.
The title says SE can't figure out F2P... they must have missed every bit of news coming from ARR for the past 6 months, and multiple interviews with Yoshi on the subject
These types of people are just idiots. They don't understand that F2P means the downfall of a game. A steady income (keyword here being steady) is what keeps quality content (and employees) coming to the game.
'mmobomb' It's that word in the dictionary that comes between 'whiny' and 'self-entitled'
