Where Are The Merchants I Can Sell Junk To

I might be missing something very obvious here, but I can't seem to find a merchant to sell stuff to. I've been playing for about 1 week and I remember once I ran into 1 merchant in Ul'dah where I could sell my junk to, but I can't remember where it was. It seems to me we should be able to sell to any vendor.

you can sell to any vendor, just right click the item you wish to sell when you're speaking to a vendor then click sell. (I think you can also just drag the item to the vendor window)

You can indeed sell to any vendor. All you have to do is drag an item from your inventory to their item list. Right-clicking your item while accessing a vendor and clicking "sell" might work too, but I can't try it out at the moment.

This seems to be something they should make more obvious in the game.

You can also try to sell the "less junk" items via your retainers.

Thanks everyone. My problem was I didn't see any options to sell. Then I tried opening my inventory window with the merchant window open by pressing "I" and that didn't work, so I clicked on the inventory menu option and my inventory window came up and I could sell by dragging or clicking on the item.

I was expecting selling to be an option on the merchant, not just to have both windows open, which was what confused me. Anyway, all is good now thanks.

BTW. I don't have a retainer yep, but I think I just became eligible for one in Ul'dah. Cool!

most items you find in the game can be used by crafters. So less junk is stuff you can put up on the market or have your retainer sell for you to other players. you get more gill that way. just price the items right.
