yea especially they seemed to be sentient enough to be able to wage infiltration war with Ishgard, so I would think their aggression has something to do with them summoning/waking/losing their king and I would think its the Ishgard that did it, they made Midgarsomr fight the Empire and had promised support but they didn't support so that was what caused war between them. because from what I understand there were hostilities before the Empire's advance into Ala Mihgo but there wasn't open war, the open war only started after the Silvertear.

We do know that Ishgard actually INVANDED Dravania to settle, they're not any more innocent than the Limsa people.
Also there's a thing to take into account about Dravanians- I don't think everything that is labelled as a "Dravanian" is a proper thinking one. I know that the Dravanian Outfliers are reffered to as "mindless scouts" at least once, at least one of the Coerthas quests seem to suggest that there is some degree of mind control in effect (that prisioner, who seems to have wholly lost his mind after, I presume, losing his link). And we do know that the Azure Dragoon has a sort of empathic link with at least Nidhogg if not whatever hive-mind the dravanians have.
I'm fairly certain at this point that only the ones higher in the control chain are actually thinking beings.

Sounds like something Anne MacCaffery would write. The dragons we've fought so far seem to be no better than animals. Aiatar and Svara just yell and drool. We've seen people actually attempt to turn into dragons, the azure dragoon in the AF quest and the Final Quest in Coerthas before you fight Garuda. The NPCs yell that it's just a glamour, but that "glamour" hits pretty hard. It would be interesting to see how many dragons are actually former human beings.
