People need to stop expecting some kind of huge strategic fight until after the combat changes. They are talking about revamping major aspects of combat and what might be challenging now might turn into a joke when they change the combat. Then what?
It's a better idea to implement low-midlevel (where difficulty isn't as big of a deal) stuff prior to combat changes and then work on difficult strategic battles once the combat changes are in and they have something to balance content around.
Tweak it when the time comes and keep your current, dwindling player base occupied? What's so difficult with that. They already had to tweak them cutting the group size in half with the current "endgame" NM's.
