    Problem is even if there harder if there 3-5min again that pointless update. At least make them 1-3hours and make the drop rate not that great. Because really who want to see everyone wearing a rare item you just got.

    Edit: If there like serket type hard before ppl could just solo them then hell ya but at least make them 1-4hours pop and a good drop rate not too low or two high.

    that is going to end up happening anyway.... >.>? don't make me log in ffxi and count how many ppl have bounding boots or empress hairpin or kirin osode, kirons pole or belck belt etc. I'm bored enough and ebd up doing it XD

    wow you guys can complain about everything. you want everything perfect right as there released when the main problem since the release of the game was balance and now your expecting everything 100% fixed with better, new and also 100% complete extra content released in the near future or you'll complain about how they should get another person or this is what a NM should be, and then post a picture of a monster that their company made. you guys just dont understand that balancing an MMO isnt easy, especially when multiple countries are involved, there dev team is split into like 10+ different section to work on what everyone wants at the same time, which probly means there all small teams, when they have to make decisions to satisfy everyone in there countries and there different play styles, and its as big as a FF series AND we havent even been paying them! you guys just need to give them a break and let them do what they need to do, and if you got some feedback to give them, dont be a**holes about it

    Hey Gildrein, first of all thank you for your reply to this concern.

    I do agree with some people here about the repop time of those NM. I'm not against allowing people to get some new and cool items in a non so hard way that the old FFXI nm style (leaping lizzy, Valkurm Emperor and so) but it feels really less "epic" when you are able to get drops from NM (which are supposed to be different and way more hard than regular ones) if those NM just repop every 3-5 minutes.

    So there is no such effort on getting those items, just you need to be patience and kill them nonstop till you get your new and cool item.

    Things could be way different changing just little things. In example, you had maybe to find/craft/quest a trigger item to pop up that NM which makes the whole way to get the item a bit longer/fun/epic but still with a decent rate drop on the item (we are talking about ilvl 35 items it hasn't to be really hard).

    Right now you have just to wait at a given spot, and literally kill 20 times in about 1 hour the same mob to get your drop.

    I agree that FFXI NM (low gear) way is not the correct one (very time consuming), but this isn't also a good one, What's the point of creating such "special" drops if with absolutely now effort all the server has them?

    In the other hand, I really really appreciate what actually are you all doing to try to put this game were it should be. But please, easiest isn't better (at least not always). FFXI was great for a reason. It makes you feel that any little achievement you got there (lvl up, new item, chocobo) was epic and great because in fact you had to put some effort on it. Don't forget that please.

    This is going to happen regardless of the timer. I'm sorry, but you're playing a MMO; you're not going to be a special little snowflake.

    i am in favour of very difficult NMs where everyone is expected to wipe on first few attempts and are bound to wipe again if they are not very coordinated and organized. I'd hate seeing new NMs taken down first hour of new NMs release.

    i am not in favour of standing around spamming BRs and win the fight without moving from my standing spot.

    I'm in favor of difficult NM fights, sure. That's the point, they're supposed to require teamwork. However, long repop times don't do anything except exclude those of us who can't or don't want to spend hours staring at a spot in the ground with the idea that it's somehow "challenging." I've said it elsewhere, tedium =/= challenge. Similarly, stupidly low drop rates aren't about challenge, they're about the Random Number God not smiling on you.

    Don't be fooled, the people who want very low drop rates and long spawn timers don't care about challenge, they only care about wanting to feel like they're better than everyone else by having a rare piece of gear. The problem is the kind of unhealthy playstyle and jerk-ish elitism that mentality encourages.

    On topic as to what Gildrein said, I'm glad they're adding stuff for mid-rank players to do. Although I do think the XP curve is too steep, since endgame is inevitably where most of the playerbase ends up and should get the focus on content, it is nice for them to add some content for those who haven't had the time to get to max rank yet. NMs are fine but I'm more looking forward to the upcoming dungeons for a more complete group experience.

    Edit:Nvm waste of my time to fight with players that have a way diff mind set so better of del what i said.

    So like most of you want a mmo you can log in play 3hours get best item in game and level up to max and do raids/endgame in less then 2hours. But at the end you have to deal with point system which would take you months to get any giving item but i guess they can fix that but making the drop rate high and everyone can have it within 3-4days of doing it -.-

    i can't believe some of you post but w/e i guess that players are now at days i guess i become a casual type player.

    I think a 10-minute respawn rate would be adequate. I agree with other players that 3-minute and 5-minute respawn rates for ANY notorious monster is a bit too accelerated. But I disagree with players that desire 30-minute (or more) respawn rates for mid-rank NMs. That seems somewhat counter to the purpose of mid-rank NMs.

    Low-15-30mins
    Med-1hour
    High-2--->3hours

    That seem to be better top of that there all very casual the 3-5min is not right when the mobs around have longer repop time.
