Seriously 3-5 minute repop on NMs?

I think it would be a good idea for many people here to come to the realization that this is not FFXI-2. This game is trying to remove a lot of the traits in FFXI that scared off a lot of potential customers. This includes and is not limited to the UI, combat, NM spawnrates, and gear acquisition/min-maxing. The fact of the matter is, this is not your gear drops from Lizzy. These are not your 24 hour NMs that give you gear that is still viable endgame. These mobs drop mid level gear that will be replaced within a week if you level accordingly.

I think the majority of people are actually mad because they think this is all SE has planned regarding NMs. However, I believe you will still have plenty more of your long spawn time endgame gear dropping NMs that require a full group of Rank 50s. However, the midlevel range of players need content too, in order to keep them interested.

this night I have done 2 LS's groups, and we have started to hunt NM in cassiopea and cedarwood.
Someone was camped by another group, but no one was aggressive, so we have had a good time.
Some drop was useful, something wasn't, but the most important thing, 16 players (and more) have had fun.

Because the hardcore are desperate for any confirmation that they're special and elite when they truly aren't. The world's beaten their ass so badly that the only arena left where they feel good about themselves in relation to others is the archaic MMORPG arena where at least they impress a few people. They want to look better than you. That's all it is. All it ever was.

Now even that seems to be taken from them, and they QQ for how much the game reminds them what they really are. Average and common.

Tanaka's was the right vision for where MMOs need to be. It was just horribly, horribly executed.

Assault and salvage represent where the genre is going in terms of endgame.
Land Kings and Valkrum Emperor represent where its never going again, because they make a fractional minority feel special and privileged at the expense of actual quality content.

The biggest shame that came out of FFXI was years 2-4 when it concentrated so many horribly self-entitled elitists that we'll *never* get rid of them trying to push their agendas onto any FF MMO because they think this series *stilL* belongs to them.

If you give that kind of player an inch they'll choke the life out of everything around them forever. Like freaking Kudzu.

You can't even compare them to a stray cat that you feed once. They're more like racoons that get into the garage and eat your cat's food, and now that they know there's food there they will never stop trying to get in.

how unfortunate, all MMOs are designed for ages 10-14 now, looks like game over, say good bye to what was a potentially good game. As stated in previous thread by others, this game might not make it with stuff this easy. Sometimes i feel like I'm playing Dora the Explorer. Effortless trash atm...

They just spawn every 5 minutes (by clock, not time of death) as long as it isn't already up.
So for instance, it spawns at 6:35. It takes you until 6:41 to kill it, so you won't see it again until 6:45. You claim it again and kill it at 6:49. You will see it in a minute or less at 6:50.
