Accuracy, HP, and MP. Okay, not all stats. Just the more prevalent ones... I myself need no challenge, nor drops since I been low manning these NMs since release.First of all, you get a 10% bonus *only* to accuracy and HP, that's very far from "all" stats (and it's only 5% if it's less than 8 people).
Secondly, it for sure couldn't be killed that easily by 5-6 average people. SE doesn't and shouldn't design a game specifically over the most hardcore players.
Want an higher challenge? you're not forced to bring 8. You sure are given that option. Use it. You even get a better change at drops.
Your use of hyperbole is a tad appalling. I'm quite anxious to know who are you to decide what constitutes valid end game?
Why should the only "end game" content be designed for average players to "low man" them?
Also, I'm no guru, but this game as zero end game....IMO.
Each patch? where did I say that? I just disagree with the nerfing of the already laughable end game we had.
*clap* very deep. I'm not sure why I'm still here? Why are you still here? Maybe through understanding each other we can both find the answer to that most philosophical of inquiries.
I'm not excusing their development failings but they are basically starting from the ground up with the new team, or at the very least the 3 or 4th floor of a 100 story building. No matter what crazy analogy I use including the one about the Unicorn not being built in a day. You don't start rebuilding something from the 100th floor down or re-writing a book from scratch from the words "The End". Things move forwards, which, yes, means that fancy end game content is coming near the back somewhere as opposed to right up front.

I'm here because I still have 6 months left in regards to the "1 year" I was giving SE to make this game...for lack of a better word, good.
Actually it's designed for average players, while players that feel elite can low-man it if they want. Why? because average players payed for the game as much as you and me, and they are a LOT higher in numbers.
The IMO is a good step on the right direction. Doesn't really cut it, though, since the NMs are obviously content for high level players = endgame. Saying that this game has zero endgame is simply making a false statement. Also, I'm no guru, but this game as zero end game....IMO.
Hardcore is a dying breed, is this a good thing? I don't know, but i certainly won't miss their complaining.
Seriously though, this patch is something to entertain newer / lower rank characters and hopefully get them to stick around longer. Can they kill every single one of these NM's and get all the gear in one day? Possibly, if they play all day and have no RL commitments.
Stop treating NM's like endgame >.>.
Its not a false statement because endgame, from what I understand = challenging content for end of the game players... Not some casual stroll in the park content that anyone with 4 people can do now.Actually it's designed for average players, while players that feel elite can low-man it if they want. Correction it WAS designed for average players, they could use 10 or more people to kill.. Now average players can low-man because of this beautiful patch.
Exactly, because they aren't.

They drop gear around 25-35 and most aren't soloable by R50 people, let alone R35, I guess this is SE's attempt to give low ranks NMs for them to group for and fight, pretty good gear for their ranks.
Been seeing 4-6 man PTs fight Kokoroon (34-41) and winning so there you go, they get to have fun too.
And the drops aren't 100% but not rare enough to be ridiculous. (why make getting low rank gear near impossible anyhow)
I like em, any whiners should just stick to the good old NMs we have instead of complaining about these little ones.
See we have something in common. I also gave SE about a year to make the game playable (which was based on the fact that FFXI took about a year to be good ie. the NA release). The clock reset when the new dev. team came in. I thought it was unrealistic and somewhat unfair not to give them that benefit. I will likely give them longer than my own deadline of December 2011 though.
