I've actually done something very similar to that in other games. Some PuG players are really bad, and in cases where letting them die (my preferred solution) isn't an option, harassing them sometimes works.Maybe healers should also make macros that say "Derp, please stop standing in the red shapes on the ground"
You could make several macros:
/p <1>, please stop standing in teh red shapes on teh groud"
/p <2>, please stop standing in teh red shapes on teh groud"
/p <3>, please stop standing in teh red shapes on teh groud"
/sarcasm

For Micro managing pet abilities I keybinded 1-4 keys to the pet bar.
Macro keys (M1-M5) on my Razer Keyboard are linked to pet position and stance abilities.
I am still working on either using targeting macros to facilitate micro managing pet abilities if pet ability macro's are not possible. Will update after work.
Update1: Removed all /ac "ability name" <me> as it wasted a lot of time and mana when out ranging spell targets. Solution was to keybind a button with self cast which I found to be much more efficient and forgiving.
Update2: Best way to Micro manage pet abilites at the moment is with hardware macros in devices such as Razer, or the Gseries Logitech devices. They let a player keybind 2 keys to one macro key thus providing the same effect in game as pressing an in game macro.

Where did you see an option for self cast? I see self targeting (f1 etc) but nothing for self casting.
I have a Razer Black Widow Keyboard with the M1-M5 buttons and I am curious how you have those keys setup in regards to your pet and how you have any other pet abilities macro'd thru hardware macros as I also have a Razer Naga mouse. Would be a great help to me if you would be so kind. Thanks in advance. =)SCH Healing Macros:

Here is a post I did on the subject:I have a Razer Black Widow Keyboard with the M1-M5 buttons and I am curious how you have those keys setup in regards to your pet and how you have any other pet abilities macro'd thru hardware macros as I also have a Razer Naga mouse. Example:
Desired Macro:
/micon Embrace
/ac Embrace <mo>
/ac Embrace <t>
/Recasted Embrace (Shows CD timer for the ability on your chat that only you can see)
Keybind Ex. 1: Keybind Embrace = W
Keybind Ex. 2: Targeting Macro = shift + ] (to keep it out of reach with regular hand strokes since we will not be actually pressing this key)
Create desired Target Macro.
Hardware Keybind Macro key 1: W --> Shift +]
MAGIC HAS HAPPENED
Point is, this doesn't really help much, sadly
The only real advantage in making hardware macros for the fairy would be to press "Steady" as soon as her casts are done so she avoids blowing all other cooldowns...and unfortunately this is pretty much impossible since you have to time it perfectly - which is not doable at all due to to even a few ms of latency.

These have all been super helpful! I really hope pet macros get figured out/added to the game soon.
I didn't notice this mentioned yet, but I stumbled upon the fact that /ac "Physick" <pet> cures your pets. Just thought i'd add my two cents in here.
