Borderless windowed lag

For some reason when using borderless windowed mode occasionally my game start lagging and when i alt tab in and out the lag gets removed but returns pretty often and its annoying. When switching to full screen it runs basically flawlessly BUT full screening this game makes my windows 8 blue screen :P

I have updated my Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 4gig even tried the newest beta driver which gave better results but the borderless windowed lag keeps returning, and i did not tune it. However, i did overclock my Intel Core i7-4770k to 4.3 ghz but ive monitored temperatures and they are around 40-45c when playing FFXIV: ARR.

Temperatures on my GPU are around 60c so its not an overheating issue.

I really dont know whats wrong. The game should be running good on this.

I also have issues with my game lagging when I have a perfectly good video card. Plus on crossfire. Borderless window lowers my fps too.

I've been having the same problems even since beta phase! When I try to request help, they just assume it's my internet connection even though my internet is fine when the lag occurs and alt-tabbing has never fixed slow internet before. :P
I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 7000 series card though so I'm not sure what the problem is. I originally assumed that my card just stinks, but it's nice to know I'm not the only person having this problem. Even if I alt-tab to a smaller window (so that I can still see the FFXIV screen), I can see the lag go away and the game catch up super fast to what it was doing. But as soon as I alt-tab back into the game, the massive lag is back. If I wait too long without alt-tabbing, it can even disconnect me. It's really weird.
And my computer was just updated a few months ago and is pretty bamf so it definitely has the power to handle FFXIV in any mode.

Crossfire only works in Fullscreen modes.
