No voices in cutscenes

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask - as I got a minor problem with the game audio.

As I watch the starting cutscenes - the characters move their lips but there is no voice - is it because there is no English dialogues yet recorded or my installation is faulty in some way?

Some of the main story cutscenes are voiced, and only ones where all the participants are voiced, if there's one NPC involved that isn't, none of them are, seeing as your highest level is 3, you've also not encountered any of them yet.

But honestly, they're voiced like a bad anime dub. The NPCs sounded cooler in my head before they opened their gobs.

I'm up to level 15 on my Lancer and I haven't had a single cut scene with voice overs yet either. I know I've barely scratched the surface of the game but I'd imagine I would have seen at least one by now.

I know the lv5 main story quest if you start in Ul'dah is voiced, but as I said, unless every major NPC in the room has a voice, nobody is voiced.

This. I can see where they're going with Thancred. Basically he's James Bond. But the Sultana was pretty cringe-y. Too high-pitched and too Oliver Twist for some desert queen.

That's why I have English subtitles and French voices. Even though I don't understand a word in French. But they sound so awesome! Merlwyb's speech was music to my ears. <3 Maybe I should give German dubs a go as well. But Japanese? No thanks, the little that I hear on the internet+real life is more than enough. >_>;

What I dont understand, Is when you watch the trailer some of the cutscenes I saw were voiced over but they aren't in game.

Because a multi-million $ company such as SE can't be bothered to hire proper translators or voice actors.
Some of the spelling errors are terrible, I saw one last night that made me and my friend crack up.
