Compatibility of CE Codes

Situation:

I have the physical copy of the PS3 Collectors Edition. I am playing ARR on PC, however, and have no desire to play on PS3.

Question:

Is the CE code tied to your account as a whole, or are they platform specific? Is the CE code separate from the key you need to register to play or are they the same code?

It's the same code.

1. CE code is linked to the service account so any items redeemd via any platform will be accessible by / delivered by moogle mail to all characters on all platforms (PC / PS3 / PS4) attached to the same service account.

2. No, it's not separate - in the PS3 CE box is the voucher with 4-4-4 redeem code which needs to be redeem via PS3 / PSN, then you need to install and run the game and link your PSN account with the SE Service account to which you plan to attach the CE items.
