Dragoons Cannot Roll On Scale Armor?

I've been noticing that too. My bigger question is, does DEX do anything for a LNC/DRG, as the scale type armours don't have it. I know DEX deals with ranged physical damage, and I'm wondering if DEX affects the jumps or Piercing Talon. If so, then it would make sense why leather is needed more than scale.

AFAIK LNC/DRG gain nothing from the DEX on gear, so it really makes no sense that we can't roll Need on it in an instance. Plus, it's already terrible enough using the Duty Finder as a DPS class, the last thing we need is more reasons to favor tanks (I say that as someone who switches between LNC and MRD fairly regularly).

I would recommend taking a screen shot of it next time and reporting it as a bug.

Also try to include anything that might help them look into the issue such as: what dungeon, what class/job you were on, and what time it happened at.

I had the same thing happen to me in Halatali last night. I did not actually need the gear that dropped because it was not as good as what I was wearing, but it was LNC/DRG was listed as able to use. I could only greed on it.

I didn't think much of it at the time, but there are a few things that got me thinking today. I queued as a Drg, but the instance was capped at 25. The Drg job is not available till lvl 30, and I am not sure if that caused the instance to confuse things?

This is... Weird.
Because Scale Armor is quite literally THE Lancer Armor, lighter than Tank armor, but too havy for any other DD armor. It even goes "GLA, MRD, LNC" on it and has DD stats.
This might be an unintended side-effect of the changes to the looting rules

I didnt think this was gonna be a huge deal until it happened to me last night lol. I feel as a lancer I have just as much of a right to roll need on an armor that I can wear. Key word being "armor" which raises my character's def, which I definetly have a NEED for! I know the tank role has a need for good armor but so does everybody so let us both roll for it and each get a chance. Instead I have to hope that the tank already has great armor and is gonna pass and let me have a chance at it, which everyone knows happens all the time in an MMO lol.

Hmm they might have fixed it. I was able to need on a scale armor today.

happened to me yesterday with a warrior lvl50 and i was lvl 28 i couldn't roll need and he took it and i really don't know why he took it since he will never use it and he can't sell it anyway
