1) Is it applied only once the time as occurred or does it happen immediately when charged. i.e. 180, would give all 180 days worth at once, or only after 180 days?

2) Do we have to wait until our free time is up, for us to get those rewards?

There is a dev response to this already. You can check the dev tracker for this info. Essentially, you will get all rewards instantly once your payment is accepted (so if you pay for 180 days up front, you get all of the rewards instantly), and you cannot get these items until your free time is over.
