So how about those Job Quests?

So for those who have begun their Job quest what do you think about them so far?

Only done Summoner's 1st quest but it was interesting.

Ifrit-Egi still does plenty of damage during the fight and can drain a person's HP down fast if some heals are not slapped on.

(Warning: all wordings from now will contain spoiler so click on you own risk of being spoiled)

Pillers return as 3 of them but they buff Ifrit Egi so it is vital to destroy them fast before Ifrit Egi destroys you fast. The fight is not hard but it is also not easy.

The story seems to center around discovering the lost knowledge of summoners and to defeat the Egis so you prove to them you're strong enough to control their powers. I was hoping they would have covered more about the Origins of Primals in Summoner story quest but oh well.

Black Mage was extremely easy. 3 baseline mobs to kill. Then dramatic cutscenes! The cutscenes had me quite engaged.

Monk's was pretty simple
I was just glad to be done with solo quests that star NPCs while you sit on the sideline hitting adds and getting infinite heals.

The quest was named Brother From Another Mother, which definitely made it all the better.

The Monk one was really bad, I was expecting something way more ... big.
But all I got was a stylish looking guy, jumping into the screen and telling me "Oh boy, you´ve got it. Here, now you are a Monk!"

Scholar was nice and easy. Was so excited when I saw the Fairy!

Selene has Haste, parties love me! lol

I liked the Summoner one a lot. It's basically just a solo version of fighting Ifrit, including the infernal nails and elemental "friends." If you don't destroy the nails you will get one-hit KO'd by Inferno just like in the real fight.

I also like that they're tying it into the main story, and making you pass the story party versions before getting the Egi version. I realize this game isn't supposed to be challenging until endgame, but at least having those prerequisites makes it feel important instead of just handing them over.

I've played through the entire Monk questline (up to 50). Though it's very similar to what it was in 1.0, the made the entire chain soloable, which was a little disappointing. The final job chain fights in 1.0 required a full 8-man party, and they could be pretty tricky.

Other than that, it was an enjoyable storyline. I'm looking forward to playing through the others.

you still need to get the secondary clss to lvl 15 and complete the lvl 30 Pugilist Class quest.
