I think this is something that will alleviate quite a bit of the frustration and anger that has been going around. I have at least 6 friends, both Legacy and new, strewn across 3 other Servers because they were not able to get on Hyperion, our chosen server.

It would make all of us very happy to be able to play together without squandering the progress we have made on our characters already.

Something like this would be great. I would like to play with a friend, but he can't make a character on my server because it is packed to the gills and locked. I'd be happy to move my character to a less crowded server so we can play together.

I've seen several threads asking when paid transfers will be available. If you click the Account button from the launcher and log in to the MogStation, here is what it says under Optional Services:

"* World transfer service is scheduled to begin mid-September."

Just a bump to hopefully get SE to consider this. It would be awesome to allow friends, family, linkshell mates a one off chance to reunite free, since many servers were locked in EA and on launch, splitting many apart. Thanks

I can only really support this move if the free moves are to low population servers only. If people can transfer to high-population servers, it will just cause the same problem again with the world being full, and people on the forums complaining that SE hates gamers because their servers are always full.

a Server transfer was in the works before the game launched, the mog station has been advertising a mid September transfer option.

During this time legacy and non Legacy alike will likely be able to transfer, also New Players can create characters on legacy servers. by mid September there really wont be any advantage of Legacy characters, a transfer between any world would hurt nothing, just make it easier to connect with friends.
