Not true, since early access, I have Balmung(legacy) constantly full, have not gotten to play my beta character in it. Created another character in another NA server, no go, its full, try again later.
Created one in Ultima JP, in right away, not a single issue.

they had a bad 1.0 launch, they decided to listen to the fans and remake the game entirely and we supported them, they underestimated the amount of people that would be returning to the game. the game does better then expected and they need to increase server capacities. so we are fan idiots?

And some of you act like they got all the time in the world to fix their game. The window for success for an MMO is very small and they have very little time to fix this or the reputation this game will get will be unrepairable. The launch sets the standards now a days and it's sink or swim and this game is going down like the Titanic atm.

I'm sorry i'm a fan and I still think It's stupid. ANY COMPANY nowadays can follow their own sells better than SE. Aion had a Terrible launch and was years better than FFXIV. Hey i'm a Fan too, but i'm not blind, and I actually PLAY MMORPG's not only 1 IP.
I'm not gonna forgive them because they spend 2 and 1/2 year trying not to go broke from one (or two, or three...) bad product. It's their decision, it was their mess to begin with.

It doesn't matter if he took those 2 and a half years and make the first Virtual Reality MMO.... If players can't get in to see and experience it.. then what's the use? They have been touting this launch since they announced the project.. massive ad campaigns at every Con on the planet ect.. they had to suspect the popularity from feedback.

If you paid 100$ to go to an amusement park but was stopped at the gate and told to wait.. and wait and try again later.. and wait some more .. and try again later.. Oh.. we are going to limit the number of visitors to even less numbers.. please keep trying.. Oh next week we will let more folks in.. but for now.. wait.. then you would probably be as upset as the folks you are "Trolling".

From what i gathered the JP servers got full to the point of 9000 error, meaning the entire server crashed forcing the entire player population to log out. NA/EU 1017 "Full servers" are just defaulted messages not pertaining to your server actually being full. Do you really believe the population of legacy player to legacy servers are actually maxing out the server capacity? no...the login restrictions are making you believe the server is full, when your client hits the restriction your not even qued in giving you the a default alert 1017.

The login restriction placed on JP servers are the same as NA however the population of actual players trying to access the server at any given time is also smaller because of how small the player base is compared to NA. You will likely never see the 1017 login restriction in JP servers unless its peak hours on a popular server, then its N/A servers all over again.

i get that its annoying too not be able to log in. i just think that with the amount of effort they put into making this, people are being alittle impatient. im not saying that your fustration isnt justified, i just understand that they are people too, not machines, they're fixing the problem and i can wait because i like the game and im not just gonna stop playing and tell everyone go forget this game because it will take them a week to increase the server capacity. im not gonna die just because i have to take it easy for a week. they dont deserve to have the game passed off so quick because of unforseen circumstances. and we dont deserve to be called fan idiots because we can look past the stupid short term issue and see a great game waiting to play when this thing blows over in a week.
but i know people will always jump the gun and rage and quit and damn everyone whose not with them so whatever.
people do what their gonna do and ill do the same
