I've been upset among everyone else and from what I've noticed square had no idea it would get this many players.. open beta 4 they got a taste however not everyone trying to get on now was in that. I've seen numbers fly around but supposedly more than 150k where in beta 4 so I'd guess 200k...we had 3102,90k,1017, and bad que system then so obviously they didn't even expect 200k at once during beta. A week goes by and they make some upgrades...I've seen that early access had at least 800k and launch over a million easily.... the leaps in users in a small time frame like that are insane...all trying to log in at once


and yes they could have gone off preorders but with new servers, graphics..etc they didn't know how much stress the server could take and beta 4 wasn't enough....

I'm just glad we have clear resolution as well as communication about the matter now. I'm willing to stick it out. I'm here for the long haul. This game is already awesome. I look forward to actually playing it again soon. 'Course if the reaper catches me before that, guess I will count it a regret.

Their incompetence is staggering. How in the world could they've not been better prepared. V 1.0 was an utter disaster and one would think that they would have a Plan B ready if something went wrong on thr re-launch, but no apparantly not...GoW 2 and TSW surtainly had more servers up within 24 hours. I hope people get fired cause of this, I want my pound of flesh.

More cheese to string us along. They also said that they fixed the issues from Beta 4 so the game would be playable by all in EA and we know that wasn't true. I'm not believing anything until I see it and I probably won't be around to see it if something isn't done within the next day or two to offer some relief to this horrid launch.

i get that its annoying too not be able to log in. i just think that with the amount of effort they put into making this, people are being alittle impatient. im not saying that your fustration isnt justified, i just understand that they are people too, not machines, they're fixing the problem and i can wait because i like the game and im not just gonna stop playing and tell everyone go forget this game because it will take them a week to increase the server capacity. im not gonna die just because i have to take it easy for a week. they dont deserve to have the game passed off so quick because of unforseen circumstances. and we dont deserve to be called fan idiots because we can look past the stupid short term issue and see a great game waiting to play when this thing blows over in a week.
but i know people will always jump the gun and rage and quit and damn everyone whose not with them so whatever.

I just hope whatever they're doing helps out the people that are ALREADY on a server. It's bad enough during prime time that if my game crashes for whatever reason I simply won't get back on until people start going to bed.

I realize they need to be able to provide for those that can't create characters now, but something like a queue just to get into the login servers needs to happen for existing servers.
