Is what happening justified no, SE should of figured this out in BETA4 it should of never been sent to launch. Just because it is a great game it should be not be given a free pass on server issues, they knew the potential for this problem existed and they launched with the problems present.

But what other outcome could happen when you end up with over double your expected population in the game.

This game is having the same issue WoW had at launch, it is too popular atm. If there is any problem for a game to have, I am sure that is what they want.

Anyone giving this game a 0 honestly their opinion is not even valid does not matter what the logic is, just like a 10 is not valid. This game is undoubtedly one of the best mmo launched in a while if you ignore all the server stability issues. But they exist so it cannot be a 10 atm anyways.

So because 6+ years ago another game had server troubles, the server troubles of this game are justified?

MMORPGs are not known for having stellar launches, so this is more par the course...

I think deep down this is what's upsetting people more than anything. I understand the sentiment behind it too, because yeah, it's lame that MMO launches are always expected to have problems and it'd be wonderful if one day this was all a thing of the past. But, and I guess I'm expecting far too much of user reviews, going to a review aggregate and saying "this game is the best game ever, 10/10!" or "this game is the worst game ever, 0/10!" isn't doing anyone any favors, and makes everyone involved come off as really unbalanced to me. Then again, I also don't know anyone who actually takes Metacritic user reviews seriously, so maybe it's a moot point overall.

The game is great and will last a long long time. The server issues are temporary and will be fixed soon.

Get over it folks. Be patient and have a break in the meantime.

People ether have short memories or just like to flat out lie. This is so far not even close to the worse MMO launch. There still needs to be 2 solid weeks of near unplayability to even come close to WoWs launch.

As for the "I paid for the game and can't play they ripped me off!" tools. Read the EULA kids. In there it says that there can/will be service interruptions. If you can't handle that you should of declined the agreement and got a refund right then. You agreed to it so such it up.

Ohh and so you know. Using troll terms like "white knight" does not make you look nearly as cool as you think. It just makes you look like all the other internet garbage.

Normally i hate the people giving 0s and 10s on metacritic but in this case i'm not so sure

People have paid for a game which is unplayable. That actually justifies a 0 in it's current state

Also anyone using user reviews on metacritic to decide whether to buy a game or not needs to start growing a common sense

Look I can understand anyone's frustration at paying for a game and not being able to play it - and almost any other genre of game they might have a legitimate claim to be upset - but by installing the game you agree to a ToS that pretty clearly states the game will not always be available to play and will have periods of scheduled or unscheduled maintenance that may interrupt your ability to play the game without warning. If you can't accept that, don't buy the game (or MMO's in general) - or at the very least don't buy them at launch.

Agreed, we all accepted the terms which stated there could/would be outages. This game is way better than I thought it was going to be. SE seems intent on not spending anymore money on it (I don't even know how much has even been spent since 1.0).

Personally I've only had one day where I really couldn't get on for a while (saturday) and despite all these issues we are ALL addicted and just can't help but want to play. I think that alone speaks volumes to the true score of the game.
