Perhaps. But what is fact is that everyone here agreed to that EULA. And that flat out makes me right with no room for argument. And yet you tried. Kind of sad really.
I am surprised by this as well. I have not had it take longer than 10-15 minutes for me every time I have tried to get into the game. The only time I had a longer issue was when I was affected by the error 90000 / 10102 during Phase 4. Since then however, its just been typical launch login fun. I've experienced it with WoW, GW2, SWTOR, character creation restrictions, server full errors, servers crashing. Its always the same regardless of how new the games are. It generally takes a couple weeks for them to stabilize. However, once in the game its been absolutely smooth which is incredibly rare in a launch! Most of the games at launch have crazy lag, especially in the starter zones. I experienced my first little bit of lag today in Ul'dah Market area, but it was very minor.First off, I love this game, but the comment you made about getting in, in 15 minutes means your lucky!~
I have a script to retry logging in every 10 seconds, I sat here for 3 hours trying to get in. :/ I'm however not prone to bitching so... Difference between kids who post crap like this and ppl who dont mind getting away from a computer. :3
Are you done? You're acting like a pretentious child - You need to understand that there are a lot of people who're frustrated EULA or not. Nowhere in that agreement does it say "You are not allowed to be unhappy with the service".
this shit is really sad the way people complain, if your saying your a paying customer as of today lets see how that works. the game was 29.00(CE doesn't count because you decided to pay for extra items)monthly service is somewhere between 13-15 dollars, so according to this you paid between 15-18 dollars for the game. ??? your bitching about 13-18 dollars seriously LMAO if your complaining about that kind of money you might want to quit playing and look at the bigger issue, less of course your just one of those people that likes to complain because now your "entitled" get a grip man. good game Devs are leaving the games industry because people that cant do what they do are flaming them on forums and twitter.
PS3 game was more expensive.....
just because others have got it wrong doesn't make it acceptable in any way.I'm not sure what your intention is with this thread. It is a known issue. To vent here is akin to pandering, and only serves to color you as one of the few that this game will benefit from -not- having around.
Consider these facts:
- Launches are historically flawed.
- - This is an "acceptable" practice in this field. Mainly because "Launch" server capacity isn't indicative of -actual- capacity (say, a few months down the road). As this is as much a business model as it is an entertainment platform, there is more of a focus on long-term server stability, as opposed to short-term stability.
- - Consider a "return-on-investment" mindset. Should we spend a relatively large sum of money on a short-term fix; only to be stuck with that overhead once the flood has receded? - Or, should we focus those resources on long-term stability, development, etc.?
These posts are similar to a child screaming, "I want it NOW!" Please, be more constructive.
I don't know about you, but under Australian consumer law (something that can not be taken away from me under any TOS or other legal agreement) SE where required to provide a product that is fit for purpose. if this is not fit for purpose (and its not if i cant log in) then i have the right to make a complaint, and that's what these threads are.
As for your last point, they are bound by LAW to do just this, otherwise this can have legal repercussions for SE, spending a bit on servers now, that they can decommission later down the track would be a lot cheaper then a potential class action suit for violating consumer protection laws.
Stome, using an EULA as a catch all for failure make you look like am imbecile. The thing is that SE knew that they would have traffic issues and they did not have enough space to compensate for it. It is very apparent that they tried to slide bye without flipping the bill for more servers. For you to come on a public forum and bash others for pointing this out makes you look like a very pathetic nut swinger. After all the MMO's that have launched and failed because of traffic and space this is something they could have EASILY planned for and not screwed up. Telling people to log into a JP server?? Why so they can waste their time questing with a character that they will not even use in the future? DO you even think before typing?? Or is diarrhea of the finger tips a common ailment for you?
