Got it. You guys are pissed. I'm disappointed too. But why do you kids keep posting these "I want it now!" threads? (Often, the OP is not to blame, it's the lesser-informed, more disinhibited replies that make me go, "WTF?".

Here's my take on this thread - A bit about the lack of queue, and a bit about the social awkwardness of posting these threads:

- "Where's the queue?" - Good question. I ask this often. Even with an advanced education in Information Technology (Concentrations in Network Infrastructure / Administration), -I- don't understand why this is not fully implemented. I imagine it has a lot to do with server infrastructure, and the way the logins are managed - IE, such a perceived "simple" change would involve a lot of re-writing. This should have been foreseen in the development phases, but I wasn't there, so I can only speculate. (I'm aware of the Fallacy of "Appeal to Authority", so I was hesitant to post about my education).

- "I paid for a service I'm not getting." - Typical self-centric thinking. You paid for a game. You agreed to Terms of Service. They're not out to screw you, and they are very likely buzzing like bees over there trying to provide this service. If you're of the impression that you're being neglected purposefully, then you're likely ignorant to the grand scope of this project as both an entertainment platform and a business model.

- "I want it now!" - It's a work in progress. Admittedly, a rocky launch - but only due to login issues, IMO. These are obviously severe issues. Common sense dictates that this is likely a top priority.

- "But I want it NOW!" - Ditto, but I'm not acting like a child about it. I see far too many posts like these. They're pandering, whiny, and offer no constructive criticism. I find myself questioning why you bothered to post in the first place. The best guess I've got is that that type of person is getting a Maslow's Heirarchy-esque "Social" fill from it. When those posts turn into illogical fallacies, ignorant rants, or simply "flaming" for that sole "Social" purpose, that could be signs of a Disinhibition Disorder.

- "Why are you posting then, Roelon?" - Well, hopefully, I've added a bit of constructive criticism to both the topic, and to the simply weird notion of the empty "I want it NOW!" posts. I'm no one special, though. Just another anonymous A-hole behind a keyboard with too much free time on his hands while he spams the "0" button.

To the guys doing the whole "YOU AGREED TO THE TERMS OF SERVICE", nuh-uh-uh, contract law does not supersede statutory legislation. You cannot contract out of consumer protection laws. In Aus/NZ and parts of Europe you will be allowed a full refund for this major failing of the product. (Diablo 3 being precedent in this matter).

Also, where is the AFK kicking so idle people who are clogging the servers are not keeping people actively trying to get in out of the servers? Crappy F2P Neverwinter has it an SE could not think about adding it to FF14.

This and the lack of queue is really baffling as it should take less time to fix than adding a bunch of servers.
