The Great Library – Reborn [Wishes for a future real library in Eorzea]

Gadzooks, the Lore Section is here!

...Ah, actually I had noticed it for some time, but I had to take a long rest from the forums, not being sure I could return to Hydaelyn.

In the old Eorzea I was one of the lore-thirsted adventurers. Some may remember me for creating Seventh Umbral Era posts in my journal, or for the passion in trying to figure out together with other fellows the pattern of certain lore-related events (somehow I'm going to miss those Purple Achievements...), or remember me just for my Subligaria Collection, or for spying Miqo'tes... or not remember me at all like that old slimeball of Baderon I met again three suns ago. [And considering that last thing I said on Miqo'tes, maybe it's better if you don't remember me...]

Anyroad, in the past there was a topic, in particular, that I would have loved to see brought in Eorzea: The Eorzean Library, a place where TRUE adventurers sincerely interested in the world of Hydaelyn would find a place to relax and rise their knowledge.
And just a few days before I had to leave, Rukkirii made a surprise and posted on my previous “The Great Library – Please bring a real library in Eorzea” thread, although at that time it was still undecided what to do with that feature that would allow us to read lore text in Eorzea.

I've just returned to my dear Limsa Lominsa, and therefore I had little time to explore. Yet, my Explorer's Sense is telling me that the Library is still nowhere to be found in the new Eorzea.

I wanted to bring this topic up in the new forums, because from now on I won't have as much time as before to write and compile lore posts (ah, those Gelmorra Ruins...! ...Oh, and I saw now Ferne answered to my old Bozja Citadel post, I'll look froward to learn more during my quests!), and this topic of the library in Eorzea is the one most dear to me.

Having a real library with an outdoor balcony where we could take books and read as much as we want about the history of Eorzea, the races, the creatures, would be a paradise.

I hope we'll see it in the future and that some of our suggestions in the old thread will be taken into consideration.

You know, I had a strange happening: even if I remained far from Eorzea for 8 moons and in the meantime didn't re-read again any dialogue from my folders (yeah, I saved them all. Actually I still do.)... I remember everything. It really feels like I never left Eorzea: not simply the story, but all the locations, and also the alphabet: I always stop by the signs in the field to read them and I'm glad to see writings around Eorzea like in the past the ones hidden in 2 fountains of Ul'dah (*still trying to zoom more for the Market Boards' ones*).
One of my old suggestions for the library was to have “Prohibited Books” written in Eorzean alphabet, those that could be read only by those deeply interested in the world of Eorzea.

As I'm sure the lore team knows, although we may be a minority, there're several adventurers like me who take their time to speak with every NPC or now, in the new Eorzea, walk twice near the townsfolk with the chat bubble dialogues (twice because can't read all the dialogues fast enough, he he), so I hope you'll think at us when the time comes to really introduce lore text in Eorzea, thinking at this library suggestion.
During my travels, I'll look forward to read other interesting dialogues and maybe find some more on the Great Library itself, something that was only briefly mentioned in the past Eorzea.

And of course, Great Job for your work, Fernehalwes and company, the dialogues you voidsents write always have the ability to immerse myself even more in Eorzea. And although English is not my main language, I still can say many times, when reading quests' or FATE's title: “I see what you did there!”. It's Not Lupus blew me away when the Notorious Monster popped.

Well, that's it, I wanted to take the time to write at least this post. Thanks for reading!
Now the Adventure calleth. And to the other adventurers, I hope you're having as much fun as I'm having exploring the new Eorzea and its lore!
