He does nothing to explain why the NA/EU data center in particular is having these issues while the JP data center has been solid since the beginning of early access.

They have six more servers than NA/EU with a lower player population.

Why not spin up more NA/EU servers to relieve some of the load? When it comes to cost of development and distribution, hardware is relatively cheap.

They're not going into the why because it's going to be technical and it's going to fly over most people's heads. You can kind of read between the lines when they mentioned "improper optimization" in the NA/EU datacenter. It basically means someone fucked up and didn't create the same environment that they have in the JP datacenter, and the game is shitting the bed. "Spinning up" more servers will achieve nothing if the software has issues with the environment.

It also does not help that he's not given us any sort of plan, or assurance that they know what the issue is and how to resolve it. This is Dawn of the Final Day, guys. Less than 24 hours remain.

I see what you're saying but if they do have databases that buckle under that kind of load, more servers would at least be a temporary fix to allow players to enjoy the game while they work on a permanent fix.

Also I work in IT so any technical explanations would not go over my head. I'd like to at least receive that and we could reword it in layman's terms for those who don't understand it.

We have been testing the JP servers since Alpha so that why their server has very little issue where as the NA/EU servers are NEW and we just began testing them at phase 4 which there was not a lot of time to test it so we are finding those errors now and are trying to fix it.. simple as that... this could of been avoided if we had a longer phase 4.

The Duty finder server would catch fire again if they added any more servers that gave it even more requests than it is receiving now.

That's what I'm worried about. Launch is getting close, and I would hate to have these problems keep lingering. Are we to expect login issues for the next day, 2 days, week?

It's not their fault, they didn't do it on purpose so just sit tight till everything is fixed.
