This is the ticket I just opened up after my latest fairly to pay for crysta using an ultimate gamers card(i know the prepaid card was declined by SE?!?!!!). It reads as follows:
"I'm going to write a ticket everyday until this is resolved. these are the steps I personally have taken in order to pay for the subscription fees:
-Debit card(failed)
-Credit card(failed)
-Credit card from another bank(failed)
-tried to sign up with ultimatepay(failed on their end)
-purchase crysta using paypal(thought it worked but the next day the payment was canceled by YOU)
-purchase crysta using an ultimate gamers card code(the code was seriously declined by you. That's odd because there's nothing connecting it to a bank or anything. It's a prepaid card!!!)

At least now we can't complain that we're not getting what we paid for .-.

I have been trying all day.
But i looks like the problem is only affecting 1.0 vets, witch is a shame since we are the ones that supported the game from the start. And SE is not even talking about the problem...
Hmm I'm a 1.0 vet I guess too... although I didn't play the game as much. Definitly seems like SE dropped the ball on getting a decent company to setup/manage/maintain their billing. Its even worse if what people are saying about CSupport blaming customers and their cards...I shall state I am not alone as well, been trying all morning on my end to get in.
Shame I register but the card didn't show up afterwords on the ffxiv mog station or the old style site, kept trying to redirect me to put the same info that I put in mog station on the old payment site, but after awhile it started throwing me the 401 and 601 error codes.
It boggles my mind that there can be so much incompetence when it comes to setting up a payment system that works.....
As it stand me and I am sure many other 1.0 vets are locked out of the game as of right now.....
I bet they give us more free time - and more time not to get the vet rewards... :/ lol

I bet this is why it seemed like there weren't as many people on last night. I'm on a Japanese server and I think they are a day ahead of the US so they probably got kicked off sooner.
My wife and I had our subs for 90 renewal and v1.0 vets, woke up this morning and said we had no payment information, tried using 2 different cards from 2 different banks still got the same error
I understand a botched launch, it happens, but when someone starts messing with yer money, its time to get out of sleepy land and get it fixed pronto

Also a owner of v1.0 CE with the same problem.
Can't believe they're testing the patience of their players so intensely. First the 1017 and 9000 bosses, and now the new ones, 601 and 401.
Square really knows how to make people quit playing. Even if they want or not.
Same here, also an V1.0 player.
I have tried most of the methods mentioned above Credit card, Paypal, UltimatePay..etc, none of them works.
As a former 11 player, I am disappointed with the SE once again.
I'm a 1.0 CE legacy player, having the same issues. Two of my roommates are also 1.0 CE legacy members, and both are having the exact same issue. Incredibly frustrating. I've tried entering my credit card/debit card, only to get the 601. I also tried purchasing Crysta, only to have the order immediately canceled and my money refunded by the vendor.
Just two more frustrating hours until we can hammer support, at least. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly.
