    Here is my situation.

    I am a version 1.0 FFXIV player. Everything went smoothly as far as the free upgrade, preordering for early access, and then yesterday happened. I noticed that there was 1 day left on the free trial. So I tried to register a payment through Mog Station. It won't go through no matter what I try. I'm in Canada (living here now, husband is Canadian) and my account is a US account. After waiting for 2 hours for a customer service agent in their billing/accounting department, I was told that the "601" error I was receiving is because I'm trying to pay to a US account from Canada. Region doesn't match, Canadian currency vs US currency, blah blah blah. So basically what I got from the guy was that my mother could log into my account, use my credit card, and pay for it since she's in the US.

    So.. I'm feeling a bit relieved and I call her. She follows my instructions and registers my card for the 90 day payment of the game. At the VERY end.. she said "It's saying it's got maintenance." But when I logged into it, I had a subscription for 90 days, and automatic renewal. (Yay! I thought) So today I go to log into the game. No dice. First thought.. "Wtf?" so I check my bank acount. I see the "minimum" $1 USD payment on my bank statement. No payment for the $41.97 for the 3 months. Mog Station tells me that my account is inactive and I have no current subscriptions. Again.. "Wtf?" So I try to register my husband's credit card thinking I'm in Canada and maybe using a Canadian credit card will work and it's a Canadian ip address. Wrong again. I got the Error 401 and to clarify when I was using my American credit card from a Canadian ip address (the wonderful CS agent told me this too) that you will get the 601 error code.

    So being in Atlantic Canada and my mother is in California (4 hour difference!) where I'm from.. I have to wait hours until it's not 5am in the morning. And when the time comes.. I have to pray that it goes through and I can play again. My husband's account on the other hand... works just fine. No interruption at all. Only he hasn't gotten his 90 day veteran rewards yet. So maybe everything isn't so great yet.

    That's what I'm dealing with. =/

    Okay. Update. I saw that the last thing that I tried was PayPal (before getting my mom involved) to buy Crysta to pay for my subscription. Well they refunded me the $42 because they cancelled the transaction. This is just really ridiculous. When I tried updating it with PayPal a couple of days ago it said it didn't go through. Obviously it did and changing the payment method yesterday cancelled it. GG SE.
