Nope, not working for me, if I try to buy crysta I get 11000 error and even IF i managed to buy it by gamecards/making calls it does not appear as an option for me to use it on the mog station because of where I live. There is also no option to "renew subscription (game card)" on the mog station for my country... It's either credit card or nothing... This sucks... I might as well start looking for another MMO to play...
I can't find that option, i am in China atm and my account is US, is it only works in EU?
Sooooo....after much struggle....I'm still not able to play. Looks like folks are catching on about the ultimate pay method and when I called, they were super friendly and seemed to know how to get everything to work. Alas, the repeated attempts to pay for service through square put a hold on my bank account. Got that resolved, had to purchase an ultimate game card through some shady site with surprisingly polite customer service (Ultimate Pay people gave me the offgamers customer service number), and when I went to call ultimate pay back, their phone lines had crashed due to a flood of FFXIV people trying to get their issues resolved as well. So Square is not only affecting us, but entire businesses now with their incredible payment methodology.
I still love square and understand the difficulties of running and maintaining a AAA MMO, and of course that I am being cynical, but these issues keep happening one after another and it is becoming increasingly more frustrating and difficult to keep up the faith.
where is the game card can be found exactly ? i've been searching for the game card but i find nothing in that siteWent with this method (in AU and used UK store)
1. Went to www.game.co.uk and added a 60-day card to basket to be delivered online (i.e. emailed).
2. Paid with Australian credit card. No issues with international sales at all.
3. Receipt arrives in email five minutes later. Code arrives exactly thirty minutes later.
4. Entered into Mog Station, done. All working.
I also saved myself about $5 as opposed to the subscription.
This 401/601 business should have a fix within 60-days—you'd think—so until then, I'm playing.
I bought 180 days no problem, but then when we tried to buy time/crysta for my girlfriend she's riddled with 401/601 (tried 3 different cards). We work second shift, so by the time support opens we only have a small window to actually talk to SE, but they haven't gotten to us two days in a row :/. I just want to scream "TAKE OUR MONEY", but that won't solve anything. *sigh* I guess the purpose of my post is just to add another name to the list of people having problems so hopefully they will notice.
1) Get a hold of an Ultimate Game Card (best found at Walmart or Gamestop) for, say, $20.2) Log into Mog Station/SE Account Management and attempt to add crysta with it.*(99% chance of it giving you an error and rejecting the card - this is just to make a paper trail to be followed)*3) Contact the VISA operator @ (650) 432-3200, ask for PlaySpan (read: Ultimate Pay)4) Tell the following rep you attempted but failed at adding Crysta. They will ask you for the PIN of the card and for the email that your game is tied to. When they look it up, they will see your prior attempt - makes it fast and easy for them.5) Confirm that you want your game card placed onto your FFXIV account.*(Within 10 minutes, you'll have an email letting you know you've had Crysta added.)*6) Log into your Square Enix Account Management page, click on "Crysta Passbook", and you'll see the 2,000 crysta added.7) Continue to Mog Station, and go through the payment process again, this time using the Crysta that is now on your account. As I said, this is a pain in the butt and roundabout way of doing it (Hopefully you're lucky and can get a digital card from Walmart.com or Gamestop.com), but it will (and has in my case) gotten me back online and playing. In the mean time... SE, get off yer @$$es and fix your payment system!"
This works for me!
Thanks.
Sadly, at this point I lost all hope of them "taking notice". 45 pages and not a single reply, not a single tweet, nothing on their "news" section... I'm not amazed that they're not acknowledging the problem, after the disaster that was v1.0, and the login issues that lasted a week they can't afford to take more bad press. At least in the US you can buy a ultimate game card and use that to add crysta to your account, that seems to be working for most people. For EU and other countries you can buy a FFXIV game card... However, if you live in a country where SE did not approve the use of crysta OR time cards... You're pretty much SOL...I bought 180 days no problem, but then when we tried to buy time/crysta for my girlfriend she's riddled with 401/601 (tried 3 different cards). We work second shift, so by the time support opens we only have a small window to actually talk to SE, but they haven't gotten to us two days in a row :/. Hello,
If you are receiving an error 601 or error 401 when attempting to update your payment method, then there is an issue where the financial institution is declining the authorization attempt. Unfortunately, as SQUARE ENIX is not the financial institution, we are not provided with any information as to why the authorization was declined, only that it was. Please confirm that all billing information is entered correctly on the SQUARE ENIX Account in question. Please also note that once an authorization has been rejected, that form of payment cannot be attempted again for a full twenty-four hours, and any further attempts before that time will automatically be rejected. If you would like further information about this specific authorization attempt, please contact your financial institution. If you wish to begin playing immediately, please choose a different payment option and payment method, available through the SQUARE ENIX Account Management System.
Regards,
GM Bublex
