    Getting Microsoft C++ Runtime Error

    So um yea im getting that error causing my game to crash. I've been fortunate enough to be able to log in multiple times, that alone is a blessing enough but its cut short recently by this error. The first time it occurred was late last night I suppose around 11pm est? Happened twice today. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, had it installed on my External HDD before connected via usb. Had tons of lag you name it but it was somewhat playable. Uninstalled it, put it on my main hard drive and BAM not nearly as much lag, much better. So when I got in today I assumed I'd be good, but I was wrong I suppose because not only ten minutes in the game with NO issues, playing better than it EVER did, I get that runtime error and im like "WHOA"! So yea, anyone else going through this, I know my friend is he says.

    My specs (from my knowledge):
    Operating system:Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
    Processor: Intel(R) i5 dual core 2.5GHz
    Memory:4096MB Ram
    Graphics Card: Intel(R) 4000 HD Graphics

    so yea thats what im workin with if any of that makes sense not exactly computer savoy just tryin to play some games folks. Just kinda hard to do so, to overcome one problem and encounter another hehe.

    Update DirectX Drivers and download the follow redistributables. I don't know the specific one for FF14 but many applications use these and it doesn't hurt to install them (asides from HDD space).

    I would think that FF14 is done with this one: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5555 MSVC++ Redist (2010)

    It could also be http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=29 MSVC++ Redist (2008) though

    If all else fails try http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=30679 MSVC++ Redist (2012) although I don't think they built FF14 off this given the time span.

    Also (and I know this sounds like nagging) run through your Windows Updates as it's supposed to download the above for you when updates are detected.

    As for why the game ran slower on your external HDD versus your internal this is because USB is extremely slow and unless your using eSata I wouldn't recommend that for any game, especially an MMO as it needs to constantly read from the disk drive. Also your GPU is on the super-low end spectrum and FF14 requires a fairly descent GPU to run the game. I would recommend if you own a PS3 to get that version over the PC one unless you want to upgrade your machine.
