Still waiting for an ability to reset Chocobo Ranks, especially now that I know getting Chocobo to Rank 10 in one tree gets them a unique set of armor. Choco-Resets need to be sold via the Grand Company.

I've been having an issue when sleeping mobs during fights. If you sleep the mob that your chocobo is targeting it will stop attacking that target, but it won't attack a different target even if you do. This mainly affect me when doing a quest and multiple mobs spawn, many times I'll sleep part of the group first and then start to attack the mob that wasn't slept. My chocobo will just stand there, doing nothing, until I attack the mob that was the target of the original sleep spell. There should be a way to tell your chocobo to attack your current target so that you can refocus it and not have it just stand there watching you get beat.
The chocobo should remain summoned longer not shorter as it ranks up. Losing close to 90 secs per rank is frustrating.
Hey do you have a link to what the unique bardings for each tree are?
Although I am victim to most of these issues either the are just a result of logical reasons, as they are based on history, common sense or role playing.
- Even if they are 6 feet tall - a chicken stays a chicken. How can you expect a flying squidmonster sized like an Elephant, heavy as an orca, with teeth like a shark , hypnotic tentacles, a smell that would frighten the skunk-emperor himself with unknown origins, probably form outer space to see a threat in the little yellow fur ball. Serious? Try letting him tank lady bugs. That might work. Although the lady bug may panic and ppl would flame the chocobo for not keeping the villains in place but kite tanking them.
- They actually had a working AI for the chocobos but then a trainee asked. “Hey aren’t dodo’s supposed to be dumb? After all they have been extinct due to that reason. They role-players will hang us.” Everybody nod their heads the trainee got a promotion and the AI has been rewritten.
- It really is annoying that the more your buddy grows up the more often you got to resummon him. But it really makes sense that as the greedy little bastard grows older and does more work he demands more corn. Not his fault he got a fast metabolism.
- Previous Final Fantasy Franchises showed us that chocobos are worse than any Broadway-Diva. Don´t feed ´em enough in combat andt they are gone. Unmount them anywhere else other than a high security stable in an airship hovering over an ocean and they are gone. (Thank god they can’t fly or even that wouldn´t work.) Talk to them more than two words and they will dance half an hour. (probably their names – who knows). Be grateful she even invites you to her party form time to time. But she definitely won´t pug up with any <insert you class here> she met a few times for instances she can easily duo with the mogry from her fc. Plus she´s not a casual like you are and got full favour with all gc´s and finished the main story so she´s locked out from that.
- I wont even start about heavy armoured healer chicken. Tried that at my neighbours’ farm. Had sth. do with a fox a cooking pot and a first aid box. It just don’t works. But I do know now why turtles and foxes do not live in the same biotope. On the other hand it held aggro quite well even after I tried to abort the experiment. Maybe the healertree might be an option for those seeking a tanking chocobo.
