Pet AI in general should be tweaked so that outside of tank mode pets aim to get behind ther target mob. From what I've seen the pet will stay where they are the moment they engage a mob.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

Another thing I dislike is my Chocobo cant heal my Summoner or Scholar Pet
Having to dismiss your chocobo companion in order to ride your mount is annoying, but not being able to use the duty finder while chocobo companion is summoned just makes me never want to use my chocobo companion.
Please make it so when I summon my mount, the chocobo companion is automatically dismissed, and please allow me to join the duty finder while my chocobo is summoned and simply dismiss my companion when I join the duty.

Is there a respec system for chocobos? I hate having to spec into something with blind faith that it'll actually be good or not having the ability to change my mind when I have no opportunity to test it.
I have that exact same issue with my Chocobo, it will stand there sending me heals all the while my pets life dwindles. It would be interesting to see if it would heal other people in your party or if it would just play favouritism.

About the instanced quests- they seem to have a tightly defined difficulty with the forced level-sync. Trying to balance the instance to make it the proper amount of challenging while allowing to use or not use your Chocobo seems impossible.
also:
1. make it possible to dismiss the chocobo from right clicking on it on the party window
2. makw it possible to dismiss him while you are in town... right now i have to run out of the town to dismiss him - maybe a toggle window that pops up when the conditions are such that requires the chocobo to be dismissed? so you dont have to click on it to dismiss it altogether
There is a skill for that, look for it in your Companions sub-menu.also:

I'd like to see some changes aswell
1- A way to reset skill points: I have multiple jobs leveled, if i'm using a healer or a dps a tanking chocobo ma be great however when i switch to a tank it becomes useless and i'd rather have a way to change its role.
Maybe with an item bought off with company seals?
2- Threat Generation for Tanking Chocobos: As it is now it's pretty low, would be pretty nice if it gets bumped up to Titan-Egi level.
3- Allow us to mount when chocobo is out: As it is now having the chocobo out is annoying and unpractical. Allowing us to mount (even only non-GC mounts could do) would be great.
4- Allow us to search group in Duty finder while having our chocobo out: Grinding our chocobo rank while in queue for a dungeon would be nice, especially considering DPS queue timers.
I was gonna post this exact thread, and holy crap how long does it take to get rank 10 chocobo? ive been grinding til my brain melts and im only at 4.5, any tips or suggestions guys? between FATE grinding where chocos are frowned upon and queueing for good ole AK i find very very little time to level my chicken
