Sync character setting between PC and PS3

Does anyone here play on PS3 and PC? I just got my PS3 version for couple days and just realized that all my character setting such as macro and spells setting on hotbar do not carry over from PC to my PS3.....Anyone knows how to fix this issues?........SE should have thought about this problem before launch.

That info is stored on you system... so PC settings will not save to you PS3.

It seems like this game need to have some more functions to save character data into online data base. It is a hassle for people who play with different PC and PS3.

Yeah it's pretty annoying, started on PC but was out of town playing on PS3 this weekend and had to redo all my gear sets and hot bars and everything. FFXI had a way to back up character data to the server. IIRC it was some kind of key combination at the character select screen.

Nothing gets carried over unfortunately... You have to configure the screen, the actions... including the gear sets... sucks...

It may suck, but it's a godsend. Part of 1.0's problem was that it DID keep your settings serverside. This had the unfortunate effect of UI lag. Noone liked it. At all. So Yoshi made the settings save locally, no more UI lag. Now, they could have easily made it so you could save the settings on the server like in XI, but it probably never came up in discussion or the player forums because of the memory of 1.0 and people not quite understanding what 'save to server' means.

I almost made another thread for this as I've been searching frivolously for information on this topic. Has anyone discovered a solution for this yet?

FFXI stored data locally but allowed you to save the data to the server so you could reload locally at any time. This was an incredible feature- when your hard drive fails on PS3 or PC, you don't have to spend hours reprogramming all eighteen classes/jobs.

My girlfriend and I often login at each others homes, as well as I play on both PC and PS3 if I need to travel or play when I have a guest over.

I cannot emphasize enough how much of a hassle it is to enter all this info in every time I switch locations.

Are there any hidden commands like XI to save character data server side? Or has this just not been implemented yet?
