Thread: Login Restrictions!?

Login Restrictions are NOT a solution! What makes you think you'll get subscribers by making the game unable to be played!

You need to open up about 10 new NA/EU servers and allow free transfers to them and some rewards for people who do move like a free month or something. Actually we should all get an extra free week because some people have played less than five hours over the Early Access weekend.

You need to start booting people off that have been afk for 30 minutes. People are not logging out because of your restrictions and hogging all the server space.

You need to stop character creation on Legacy servers too! Only people who are Legacy should be able to play on them, and those who are friends of Legacy who have received a code (World Pass).

P.S. I don't care if you guys say 'another one of theeeeeeeeeese threads'. There are issues that need resolving!

Extra free week wouldn't help much, but would make some sense. Some people haven't even gotten to be able to play at ALL because of work schedules and coming home only to maints that last all night for EST players. I also agree highly with booting people who are afk.

Legacy only servers would be alright, but not too many of them. That's just my personal opinion though, as I don't fully see why someone would want a maxed character right at start. World Pass sounds silly as well, just keep it for the Legacy memebers and if they want to play with friends, they can play elsewhere.

Seriously! Restrictions are cool for monitoring and testing during a beta test, I get that... but this is not a beta test, this is early access to a game that launches officially TOMORROW! Making it so that some can play and others are left to troll the forums is no good... I'd rather be in-game.

Anyone else find it remarkably ironic that players can't create a thread in this forum unless they are over a certain level. And for many players, they can't get to that level because they can't log in to the game. I wonder how much worse this forum would look if it were a true measure of the attitude surrounding the players.

I know this, I'm a patient guy. But it is very clear to me (and everyone else) that SE needs to fire the people responsible for their infrastructure immediately. Get a competent team in there.

It honestly feels like they think this isn't much of a problem right now. Which is F-ing insane.

Launch has started. It was midnight JP time. The problems are only going to get worse now if they don't open up new servers with free transfers! We'll never get to play.

if restricting meant a longer queue that would be cool., not a mash the button hoping you even get a queue...then survive that too...

BTW where did the login queue even go? All I get when I try to log in is an error of the server being full and it boots me to the start screen. The queue broken too?

I think the queue is when multiple people are logging in at the same time (with open space). But it should be applied to when the server is full too. It's just silly to not be.

What number are they setting to the Limit Cap? I ask because people have been locked out even before the typical NA prime time. If these servers can't even handle pre-prime numbers...

I agree, a free week could be a nice apology but I would prefer they implement a system that boots afk players. Its ridiculous that we'll be paying for a game that we wont be able to enjoy most of the time because of Login Restrictions. Especially for people with jobs or other responsibilities in general that can only log in at the most busy times.
