In Game Config

Apart from Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV, I can't seem to recall any computer game that hasn't had all of their configuration options (resolution, AA, shadows etc) accessible from within the game.

Final Fantasy XIV is a very pretty game. It's also very resource heavy on some older machines. It's very hard to fine tune the graphics because in order to change anything you have to constantly log in and out of the game.

Please make all of the configuration settings available within the game itself

I agree with you on this matter. The things you can configure, while in game, are rather meager. I was surprised when I first got on the game and went to the configuration menu. I would then be able to lower my settings for when I need better performance. Then I can up the graphics to take pretty pictures, all without having to restart the game.

I agree, I'd like to see this as well. It's pretty inconvenient to have to exit all the way out to fix things, and with XIV being a fairly heavy game, it would be nice to be able to see and gauge effects immediately.

I agree completely. It took me like 2 hours to figure out my optimal graphics settings because of this flaw.

Some configuration is okay to have outside of the game.. others (mostly graphic settings) should be in-game.

Also add a "Display FPS" feature if possible.

I've been trying for a while now to fine tune everything and it seems everytime I make some progress in one part of the configurations, another needs fixing. It would be nice, as previously stated, to have it where you could see the changes immediatly and from there tune your settings even more.

I agree with the suggestion in the OP. SE needs to get with the times and make their configurations available in-game.

I'm waiting for someone to try to defend why they wouldn't let you. "Oh don't want to make game too casual."

Something stupid like that - its going to happen.

I absolutely hate trying to find a good balance between quality and performance on my PC because I must log off every single time I need to change something. A full in game config would be most welcome!

Prolly wont happen due the reason DirectX fails, they not good developers.

I can't agree with you more on this one. Even if it says, "this will not take effect until the next time the game is played" I would rather have that than having to restart every single time just to go into the config.

Rather, I have another idea. How about giving us pictures of what the change will look like to a character model or brush before we start the game. Imagine.

Yeah I'm very surprised that you still can't change graphic settings in game, I would like to see this happen as well.
