That makes sense. It does happen to me after extended play.I can tell you all from experience that most cases where sound cuts out during any game on ps3 its because the system's cache is full and can no longer process the sound and graphics at the same time. I have seen this and personally experienced this with Skyrim, Borderlands 2, DC Universe Online and several other high end ps3 games. This is normal and a is a known issue with the ps3. The only solution is to log off and reboot your ps3. Expect this to happen after about 6-8 hours of non-stop play time on ps3.
If you are playing something else before you start ARR, I would advise you to do a complete system reboot before getting into the game to make sure your cache is clear. This way you will have more play time before your sound cuts out.
Is this something game devs can fix or is it something PS3 players have to live with?
